This is a male OC x Newt Fanfic based on The Maze Runner, obviously. Grumpy x Sunshine Newt and James go through tons of problems, but they might be meant for each other. She ran into the Maze and never came back. Isla was one of the first. A Runner. A shadow between the walls. Then, one night, she vanished without a trace-no scream, no body, just silence. Most believed the Maze had taken her. Most forgot. But then the song began. A low, echoing melody, threading through the corridors in the dead of night. A voice that shouldn't exist. We will have to wait for her to go into the maze" she answered calmly. Y/n woke up in a strange medal cage with the sun shining bright over her. Once her eyes adjusted she saw a group of twenty boys staring down at her. Over the next few months Y/n made the best of her situation, even with no memories she became the light of the glade, even finding love along the way. That was until the maze doors opened for the first time. Y/n volunteered to run the maze as well as three other boys. During her run she got taken by the creatures that lurked through the maze. She woke up in a hospital bed with a boy standing next to her. Thanks to him she was able to make it out of the WICKED compound and she made her way into the scorch. There she met a girl her age, and an older man who took her under her wing. Y/n lived with them in the scorch for three years until one day a group of familiar faces stumbled through the doors.
