Akari Ukai promised herself she was to never play volleyball again. Yet when her older brother Keishin Ukai injures himself, she must take the responsibility of coaching Karasuno's College Volleyball team and take them to the Summer Cup. There's just one problem. She doesn't know how to coach. She doesn't even know these boys. She's a student herself. She hasn't played volleyball in 2 years. She's impatient and sarcastic.
