Finn is drifting. On a path to self destruction, a chance encounter on a cold beach puts her on a different track. Zoots, smokes, and a sofa to sleep on are a nerve wracking change from the isolation Finn has subjected herself to for so long. But if Finn's past has taught her anything it's that there's no smoke without fire. no particular need to be a fan to enjoy this story.

George didn't expect much of his life. He come to be rather complacent with the ways things had turned out to be. He wasn't unhappy, per se, just very uninspired by the world around him. He found himself with little more than vague enthusiasm towards a select few things in his life. Perhaps he'd thought he was okay with that, and that he'd live his life amounting to very little at all. Perhaps he really had thought that, but that was before he'd met Matty. Matty didn't expect much of himself. He'd fall out of trust with the world, and came to bury the person he'd once been deep inside himself, under a mess of arrogance and over spoken ideas about the way things should be. Everything was bullshit - love, family, being a 'functioning member of society', and perhaps it didn't look like he was ever going to get far with his life. Perhaps he'd thought he was okay with that: with locking up who he really was inside everything he'd wanted to be. Perhaps he really had believed that, but that was before he'd met George. Neither of them had much cared for change, but the thing was that change never did stop to ask for your opinion before it happened.

Your in high school and life is normal. Until your cousin matty introduces you to his bestfriend from wilmslow you dont know him because you live in Newcastle and don't really see the healys often it's now and then but matty brings george with him this time to your family reunion.

Money was scarce as a dependent law student entering the first year of a masters degree, an illegal side job shouldn't cause too much grief, especially when one of the regulars becomes keen on her. This customer has a certain allure she cannot extricate herself from; he's on the brink of breaking into the music industry with his band, The 1975. "I- I made a deal," he states quietly as he looks at his feet, only managing to deepen George's still present frown. "A deal?" "A deal," Matty nods. "What kind of deal?" George quizzes. "Just a deal," Matty huffs. "Thought I'd do something about this debt of mine, is all," he says nonchalantly, shrugging one denim-clad shoulder. Even though it seems stupid and reckless and like a decision he made on the spur of a moment, he's thought this through, and about any other possible solutions to his life-or-death situation, but nothing else could grand him the amount of money he has to hand in to his creditors in the three months that they promised to let him off before they bash his head in. Or the one where Matty attempts to save his arse through a chain of poorly-thought out decisions, aggravates George, and in the process develops feelings that are going to complicate his relationship with him even more.
