Wade sat on the ledge of a building, one hand resting on his upraised leg. He was waiting.
And waiting.
Would Peter show up? It was so early the damn sun wasn't awake yet.
Had he dreamed it? The question kept running through Wade's mind. What if he sat here for half of the day only to find out it had been a product of his mind? He sighed, watching the bustling street below him. He had a feeling he was going to be disappointed. Surely Peter wouldn't change his mind over a single night. Not with his reaction.
But...Wade was hopeful. He'd never had a real connection with anyone - besides Death, but he wasn't thinking about her. When he talked...he felt like Peter listened. Everyone else just chalked it up to insane ramblings. Hell, maybe it was.
[Man, you know he's not coming.]
{He might surprise you.}
[Just go crawling back to Death. She was hot!]
Wade put his hands over his ears. "No. I don't need her."
[Yes, you do! You're nothing without Death. She's the only thing you deserve.]
"Stop it." He growled.
"Wade?"
Wade snapped his head around, finding Peter in his spidey suit standing behind him.
"You...came."
Peter cocked his head. "Of course I did. Did you think I wouldn't?"
"Well...you gotta admit, only one night was a pretty short length of time to completely change your mind."
Uh...yeah." Peter ran his hand over the back of his neck. "I guess it is. I've just...I've been alone for a really long time. And i figured...why not give it a chance?"
Wade shrugged. "Sounds reasonable." He got off the ledge and slowly walked toward Peter.
"Um...I should probably tell you, ah...I've never done this before. With a man."
Wade stopped only when their chests were just barely brushing, looking down at Peter. "Oh, yeah?" He asked, his voice low.
Peter craned his neck to look up at him. "Uh, yeah, it was always just a...fantasy."
Wade tilted his head. "And, of all people, you want me to be your first?"
"You pulled me out of a sinking hole of denial."
Peter took off his mask and stared up at Wade. "I want to do this."
"You're positive?" He asked. Holy shit, did Wade really want a relationship? Was he ready for this?
"Absolutely." Peter answered.
Then he put his hand on Wade's chest.
Wade inhaled sharply, jerking a bit. Death had been the only one to touch him in years. The warmth of Peter....the touch of another person...It felt amazing. His hand slid upwards, over his pecs, and Wade closed his eyes. Peter's hand kept going up, his fingers hooking under Wade's mask-
