Peter was strapping his bag over his Spidey suit when his phone went off. He snatched it, looking at the screen.

W: Just droped off item, gonna go pick up paycheck, be home tomorrow morning.

Peter smiled, bringing up the keypad and replying.

Ok. Luv the bear, btw.

As it sent, Peter stuffed it in the cell phone pocket of the strap on the bag and jumped from his balcony, letting himself fall for a few seconds before shooting a web and swinging around the buildings. He heard his phone go off and caught himself on a building.

Making sure his feet were secure, he pulled out his phone and leaned back a bit, scrolling through the conversation.

W: Glad u like it. I have to drive now, I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Peter sighed, typing.

K ttyt, drive safe

Peter put his phone in the bag and slung it back over his shoulders, buckling it and diving backwards off the building. He swung through traffic, narrowly missing a bus, and shot another web, swinging around a skyscraper.

He stuck his hand out to shoot another one when suddenly, he felt dizzy. He fell, the air rushing around him, and bounced off of an outstretched windowsill, flying into the window opposite, hearing his skull crack, and flipping over a dumpster onto the ground.

"Ohh...fuck!" Peter groaned, lifiting himself off his forearms and getting to his knees-

He fell back down onto his stomach, panting. Maybe if he just...lay here for a little while...

His vision grew fuzzy and started to fade in and out. About the third time it did this, he spotted a hooded woman in the shadows, staring at him.

"FIght it, Peter." She whispered. "You aren't ready. He needs you."

Peter blinked and she was gone. He grit his teeth, rising to his knees, slowly. Finally, he sat back on his heels, letting his head hang. It was throbbing, and he felt so dizzy.

Peter felt drops land on him and looked up, taking off his mask and closing his eyes, letting the rain pour onto his face. He let out a sigh, his drenched hair plastering to his face.

When he felt a bit stronger, he put his mask back on and awkwardly stood up. Okay, one foot in front of the othe-

He lurched to the side, catching himself on the alley wall. Come on, you got this. Trying to find strength, he pushed himself off the wall and staggered out of the alley. The sun had set and he walked down the sidewalk, one hand on his head.

"Spidey?" He heard someone ask. Peter looked behind him to the two guys staring at him in shock, and waved. Then he turned back around, stumbling down the sidewalk, starting to list to the side again. Fuck-

He felt hands grab his arms and hold him up. "Easy, Spidey, where you trying to go?"

"Get me...to that building....over there." He panted, pointing to the building down the street. The two men, supporting his weight, walked with him all the way to the building. When they reached it, Peter put his hands on the wall and hung his head, trying to find the strength.
