The rays of sunshine were beaming through the blinds as I awoke in an unfamiliar place. Looking around the room I noticed that I was still in the hospital, but instead of being a visitor, I was a patient with my own guests. Focusing my eyes on the two men in front of me, I quickly became aware that they were cops, and that they're probably here to question me about yesterday's incident. Rolling my eyes, I mentally prepare myself for their unrelenting questions.

After what seemed like a stare down the one of the cops that goes by the name Reyes started asking questions that I could hardly keep up with. "So what happened the night of the incident, were there other people around? Did you know the possible cause of Mr.Mafud's condition? Who is he connected with ? Etc.
For a person who just woke up from passing out a couple hours ago they sure have a lot of questions. I tired answer them the best I could. " I was in my room when I heard a thud, I came down the starts to find my husband passed out and that when I called the ambulance. And to answer who he is connect to, well I'm not sure my self." The officers nodded and began writing it down. "Well if you need anything or have more info on what happened then don't hesitate to give us a call." Officer Reyes said and gave me a wink. I gave him a mug face as he left with the other officer who was eerily quiet the whole time. I looked around my room and I called the nurse in to ask for any updates on my condition and Toni's. "Yes Ma'am? You called?" A very cheerful nurse came in. With black curly hair and very rich dark skin. "Yes, I just wanted to know if I'm free to go and if my husband is okay" I said " yes ma'am let me just check your papers and see if there is anymore testing to be done." That took at least 10 minutes and she told me that I was fee to go. I thank her. " Now what about my husband?" I ask. That word just gives me shivers down my spine. " oh yes, he is in a stable condition but he is very week at the moment." She said and I could hear a little bit of worried in her voice. " thank you" I said and he nodded and left my room. I proceed to put on the clothes and check out my room and headed to Toni's. "Ma'am family only passed this point" I looked up to see on of the nurses fixing Toni's tubes. Now he has breathing tubes in his mouth. This scene gave me joy and utter sadness all at the same time. " I'm his wife, Tyra" The Nurse then proceeded to let me in and gave me some updates on him. " he's very weak , we thought we lost him a couple times. He kept on saying your name when he would go in and out. We still don't know the reason for his condition." She looked at at me with worry. But I could only stare at him. He looked so peaceful this way. As if he was meant to be like this. I only nodded at the nurse. I didn't know what to say. I was still in shock about everything happening so fast. " it'll give you two some alone time" and the nurse walked out the room. I pulled out my phone and proceeded to call Jacob. The phone ring for a good minute and then he picked up. "Hello?" His voice sounded tired but at the same time velvet that it made my knees a little week. "Hey Jacob its Tyra, I was wondering if you know if my kids were okay and see if the nanny is still taking care of them. I can text you the location of the spare key and the gate number." He pauses for a bit "Tyra, I miss you" he said I could hear sadness in his voice. " I miss you too" I said I'm a whisper hoping Toni won't hear me. He chuckled " but I will check on your children and make sure the house is secure until you get back. I will keep you updated as well." " thank you so much Jacob, you're the best!" I said gratefully " no problem my love" with that he hung up " I turned back to Toni to see that he was fully awake now. Looking at me in what seems to be a mixture of shocked and betrayal. I called the nurse and he continued to stare at me. The tubes kept him from talking to me but his eyes were saying thousands of words per second. " he seem to be getting a little bit stronger but he's far to weak. He might have to stay here for a couple of days to make sure he get back to normal." The doctor said as he checked his vitals. Toni still continue to stare at me, trying to intimidate me.

After a couple of weeks Toni finally leaves the hospital but he has to be in bed rest for a week to be sure of his condition. Toni isn't taking to me. Only when he needs something. " can you give me the remote?" Or "Can you rub my head or even feet" I'm reluctantly do all these things. I felt like I was the maid again. "Can you tell the maid that she can take the night off early. I want you to make some of that wonderful chicken Alfredo. Tell here that she will receive her check in the mail by Monday of next week." I looked at home like he had two heads "I have to watch the kids and take care of them. And clean.can you at least order something please. I'm very stre-" I was abruptly cut off with a harsh slap. I bite my lip and I got very angry. The room suddenly got very hot with anger. I raised my hand and slapped him multiple times. I was fed up with the abuse I got over the years. From my father neglecting me and Toni always trying to hurt me in some form or fashion. I didn't care if he was still weak I could send him right back to the hospital. "TYRA STOP" he grabbed my arms and shook me violently. I feel off of him into the floor. I got and dusted my self off and left the room. I walked to my boys room to see they were up. I took each of them in my arm and when to the kitchen to where the maid was. "Good evening Mrs. Tyra, I made the boys dinner along with Yours and Toni's dinner. I Maude sure to make his food with his medication as the doctor prescribed." She said with a smile. I smiled back " thank you so much" she suddenly looked concerned and stared at my face. " ma'am are you alright, you check is really red!" I tended and let out a sigh "yes I'm fine, you're able to take the weekend off now. I got it from here" I smiled at here while I put the boys in their high chairs. She probably knew I was lying and she continued pack her things and head out. By Mrs. Tyra, bye Dani-dan by Gaby Gabe" she said as she tickled my twin boys faces. The giggled at her gesture. She left and it was only me and the boys down stairs. I Looked up to see Toni walking down the stairs very unstable. It looked like he was going to fall. "Toni what re you doing the doctor said you need to stay in bed until you get you strength back completely!?!" "Hush women now serve me my food" I rolled my eyes and served my babies first then his food. we all ate in the silence with the occasionally coos and giggles from the boys as the ate. "I'm sorry" he'd said "I wasn't thinking when I did that. I was angry" " your always angry and yet have the audacity to take it out on me." I said with anger " I know you know I'm working on becoming a better man to you and my boys"
