You were chilling on the sofa scrolling through your social media before you had to begin your homework when you get a phone call from Jenny.
"Hello?" You ask.
"(Y/n)! Listen to me now!" She exclaims shakily into the phone. You stand up from the couch.
"Jenny, are you okay? What wrong?" You asked feeling extremely concerned.
"It's Mr Skarsgård, he's-" the line goes dead and your eyes widen. You redial her number but it went straight to voicemail. You still tried to call her, you even messaged her on all her social media. No reply. You then ring her home.
"Hello?" Jenny's mum answered.
"Hey, it's (Y/n), is, Jenny home yet?" You ask trying not to raise alarm.
"No, not yet I thought she was with you." She says.
"No." You say honestly.
"Well speak of the devil, she just got home, I'll put her on." You breath out a sigh of relief when the phone was passed over to Jenny.
"Hey, Jenny, it's (y/n), you had me worried." You laugh.
"Why?" She asks.
"You called me in a panic and then started to say something about Mr Skarsgård before the line went dead." You explain.
"Uhhh, (y/n), I don't know what you're talking about." She says with confusion in her voice. You furrow your brows and look out your window.
"I know what I heard so what's up?" You ask.
"(Y/n), my phone broke, I dropped it walking home, how could I call you in that time?" She asks. Your eyes widen and you look at your phone to look at if it was her who called, it was her name on the call log.
"I swear it was you tho." You almost choke on your words, you felt unsettled for some reason. "Your name is on the call log!"
"(Y/n), give it a rest, you're not being funny." She says in a serious voice, you swallow hard and decide it was best to leave it alone.
"Okay, well, I need to do home work so I'll see you at school tomorrow." You say letting go but feeling frustrated.
"Yea sure, same, luv ya byeeee." She says then hangs up with no more words. You sigh and look out the window and see a silhouette standing in the middle of the street. You stare at it trying to make out who it was. You finally drew the conclusion that you were being watched by someone dressed as a clown. You hated to admit how much it unsettled you to be watched by a stranger dressed in a clown outfit but you shrug at them to let them know you knew they were watching. It could be one of my friends, you think to yourself but then they weren't that tall, you didn't know anyone that tall. You tilted your head to the side and watch him curiously as they reached behind their back and pulled out a balloon which glowed red in the moon light.

The clown slowly walked towards your house but stops before crossing on to your front lawn and tied the balloon to your letter box before waving slowly at you and vanishing into thin air

The clown slowly walked towards your house but stops before crossing on to your front lawn and tied the balloon to your letter box before waving slowly at you and vanishing into thin air. You blink a few times before rubbing your eyes, you must be tired if you're hallucinating clowns and your friend calling for help. You sigh and get ready for bed you decided you were too tired for homework and will catch up later. You get into your bed tomorrow will be a new day, you think to yourself. You couldn't help but think about the events that happened that day. The argument you had with, Mr Skarsgård, or the phone call that you got from Jenny or that clown! You couldn't help but think a lot of your thoughts were revolving around Mr Skarsgård and you couldn't help but like thinking about him. You then think about the balloon and all thoughts of Mr Skarsgård vanish. You peek out your bedroom window to see if it still was there. You stare at the glowing red balloon and couldn't help but feel curious about it. You stare more and realise it has something written on it. You had to know what it said! You sneak to the front door not wanting to wake anyone in the house. You step out into the cool night air and look around. Now the logical thing would be to wait until morning to look at the balloon especially because the clown could still be lurking but curiousity got the better of you and there you were making your way to the edge of your front lawn. You reach the balloon and untie it's string from your letter box. You pull it with you into your house again and shut and lock your door before quietly making your way back to your room. Your lamp still was on illuminating the room and you sit on your bed to read the balloon.
