You had to get out of there, as far away from Derry as you could. You trusted Bill and now you find that he is a demonic clown who is most likely after your soul.
You felt so betrayed by him, you'd known him since the start of the year when he transfered into your school. When you met him it was as if you had known him your whole life.
He was always there for you, he held you while you cried or just needed a hug. He looked after you and made sure you were eating well, and if you got home safe.
Through this you started to develop feelings for him, but when the truth came around and slapped you in the face, everything changed. Everything was a lie, all you could think of him was he was a liar.
You actually thought that he was the one, but you know what they say life is a bitch. Why didn't you pick up on this sooner.
You should have thought there was a catch as soon as you met Bill or Pennywise or who ever the fuck he was. Nothing was ever simple was it?
Especially living in Derry. You continued to run as fast as you could to get away from it all.
You left the town of Derry, there were still sewer drains lining the road before you. Could you make it into the country side with dirt the roads before it was too late? Before Pennywise found out what you were doing.
It was a warm day so the air was dry and the sun was beaming down at you causing you to sweat. Your throat had become dry after huffing and puffing from your sprint through Derry to get away, but you weren't going to stop, because if you stopped you wouldn't have been able to start running again.
You soon reached the dry dirt road indicating you had made it officially 15 minutes away from Derry. You looked back as you continued to run, Derry got smaller as you got further away.
It was still the middle of the day so it will be a while until sun down. You had only packed 1 water bottle in your bag, which you regretted as soon as you passed the border of Derry.
You ran for another 10 minutes huffing and heaving. Your legs were numb, and your chest felt tight and as if it was on fire.
You turned your attention in front of you and tripped over a rock and stumbled to the burning hot ground. You let out a loud grunt in pain.
"Fucking ow!" you exclaimed aggressively as if it would help the pain subside.
You stayed laying on the side of the dirt road exhausted from the heat, from running and very mentally drained. Why did this happen to you?
Why was the world always against you. You had built yourself up just to be torn down again. Something so out of the blue just ruined everything for you.
Bill was the reason you stayed in Derry and now he is the reason you left, how ironic. You finally moved so you were sitting on your butt, you hissed at the burning sensation on your knees and palms, they were bleeding from being scraped on the rocky dirt.
You looked around to see if there were any cars or houses, there was none, no one in sight, but there was a tree in the distance, about 5 minute's away. It took all of your willpower to get up and make your way to the tree.
You felt you could rest there for a bit, especially because you were hungry and very thirsty. So you slowly and painfully made your way to the tree.
You sat under the tree, dropping your bag next to you as you leant against the tree's trunk. You opened your bag and dug around to find your water bottle and lunch box.
You took a big drink of water and took out an apple to munch on. You look around at the empty countryside and sighed. What were you even doing?
Where were you even going? You knew you had to leave but where to now?
