In front of the Rakdos Guildgate, was Nemaru. His back was leaning against the gate. He was waiting for Sarkhan.

Nemaru wasn't a very patient guy.

"Damn..." He sighed.

"Not patient, I see." Someone said.

Nemaru saw that Sarkhan was barely arriving.

"Didn't they teach to you never keep your guests waiting?" Nemaru asked.

Sarkhan gave a short glare, before closing his eyes. "They did, but I never thought you would be worth making time for."

Nemaru moved away from the gate. Sarkhan then noticed, that he didn't have a luggage. Just a bag.

"Traveling light? You do know, that you will not be able to claim your things once you enter this guild." Sarkhan told Nemaru.

Nemaru rolled his eyes. "I know that. Now, open the gate."

Sarkhan gave a small smirk at Nemaru. It entertained Sarkhan to know that Nemaru has guts to even act this way towards a Planeswalker.

"Tell me, what do you wish to accomplish here in the Rakdos Cult?" Sarkhan asked.

Nemaru, this time, gave Sarkhan a grin. "I'm going to become a Planeswalker."

Sarkhan had a smirk. "Planeswalker? You might just be able to make it."

The Rakdos gate slowly opened, and Sarkhan's smirk disappeared.

"Nemaru Kaze. I, Sarkhan Vol, a representative of the Rakdos Cult. Welcome you to our guild. Your goal to become a Planeswalker, roads will be harsh. It will not be easy. By becoming a member of this guild, you will not be able to speak to any outsider. Unless, allied with the Rakdos Cult. Not only that... To those who disobey these laws will be severely punished. Or even killed, without hesitation." Sarkhan told Nemaru.

Nemaru frowned upon hearing not being able to speak to any others.

"So I can't speak to her..." Nemaru whispered.

Sarkhan noticed the frown expression on his face, even the hint of sorrow in his eyes.

This made the Planeswalker grin. "If you refuse. You can just turn back. After all, the Rakdos Cult has no use for weak-"

"Shut up." Nemaru said, as he had passed through the gates.

Sarkhan's expression quickly changed. The fact that this boy was willing to give up all contact with his friends, to become a Rakdos Cult and to fulfill his goal of a Planeswalker.

Nemaru watched as Sarkhan followed him and the gates closed.

Behind the gates was a path, a single path that led to a town. The sides of the path were hot lava. So, if you fall. You're done for.

"As expected of Rakdos." Nemaru said.

The Planeswalker started to walk ahead. "Come on, the sooner I take you to Exava. The sooner you will meet with Rakdos himself. Do you know who Rakdos is?"

"Of course. Rakdos was one of Ravnica’s paruns, or founding guildmasters, and for millennia he has been in complete control of his guild. Capricious and megalomaniacal, he wants everything to happen on a grand scale. One moment roaring with satisfaction at the sight of his performers, the next ordering that they be set on fire and laughing cruelly as they die. When Rakdos is awake, he is the undisputed center of attention. His whims are catered to, whether it’s murder or mutilation, and nothing is spared to please the master. When Rakdos slumbers for days at a time, the cult members ratchet down the murder and chaos. Then Rakdos wakes up, and it’s an orgy of bloodletting and mayhem again. I wouldn't have chosen to enter, if I didn't know anything about Rakdos himself." Nemaru spoke, as he followed the Planeswalker.

Sarkhan was amazed by this kid. "Haha, just because I like you already. Fair warning. Never ask Exava, as to why she joined Rakdos. You ask, she will slaughter you in no time."
