School Dance (Sweetpea x Reader)

This is set in Season 2 after the Southside students transferred to Riverdale High.

"Hi everybody," you walk up to your group of friends for lunch.

You've been friends with Toni, Sweetpea and Fangs for a few years. You were a Southside serpent, so you all knew each other really well.

"Hey Y/N, are you going with us to the Whyte Wyrm tomorrow?" Sweetpea asks.

"I wish I could but I'm going to the school dance with my boyfriend!" You say excitedly.

"That's great for you! You make such a cute couple even if you have only been on one date," Toni exclaims.

"Isn't he a northsider?" Sweetpea asks furrowing his eyebrows.

"Yeah but he's so attractive. I think you all have met him, his name is Archie," You answer.

"I wouldn't trust him if I were you. I don't care if he's Jughead's best friend, he gives off bad vibes," He states angrily.

"I think he's charming and besides, a school dance is the perfect way to get adjusted to the new school. I actually want to fit in at this new school, unlike you," You reply.

"If you think that you're going to 'fit in' with these north-side people you are crazy. You are a serpent for life," Sweetpea shouts.

"What I think Y/N meant to say is that she wants to get involved in school events," Toni explains.

"Whatever. I'm ditching school for the rest of the day anyways," Sweetpea states with an annoyed expression. He walks away and leaves the cafeteria.

"What's up with him?" You ask.

"He's probably just jealous that you're not going partying with us at the Whyte Wyrm," Fangs states.

"Or he's jealous because he has a crush on you..." Toni suggests.

"Oh please he only sees me as a friend," You scoff.

"I see the way he looks at you. I wouldn't be too sure he only thinks of you as a friend," Toni states.

The next day

You stop at your locker to get your books for class. Archie Andrews stops at your locker soon after.

"What time should I pick you up for the dance?" Archie asks with a smile.

"Pick me up at 8," you reply smiling.

"Okay I'll see you then," Archie grins. You nod and he walks away. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Sweetpea staring at you.

Later that day

You were walking to class when you hear noises coming from the janitor's closet. Since there is a murderer killing people, you should probably find out what those noises are.

You open the door to find Archie and Veronica having sex. This is shocking considering he has been your boyfriend for approximately 2 days, yet is already cheating on you.

"Archie? What are you doing?" You ask confused.

"Archie who is she?" Veronica asks trying to cover herself.

"That's Y/N, she's my girlfriend," Archie states. Veronica gives him an annoyed look.

"We need to talk," You tell Archie gesturing him to get out of the janitor's closet. He quickly puts his clothes back on and goes into the hallway.

"I can explain. Veronica wanted to have sex and get back together. I can't resist her she's too hot," Archie explains.

"I thought you were over her!" You shout.

"I thought so too but when I was with her I had sex all the time. I actually am not over her. I am sorry for this, but you never even said you wanted to be exclusive anyways," Archie argues.

"I hope you're happy with her then because we're through," You shout. Archie shrugs and takes his shirt off before going back into the janitor's closet.

You run to the bathroom crying. Tears cascade down your face, and your eyes look red. You look into the bathroom mirror and wipe away your tears. Then, you exit and walk down the hallway trying the not break into tears.

"Y/N are you okay?" Sweetpea stops you in the hallway. You instantly start bawling.

"Archie cheated on me, and now is not the time for you to say that you warned me about him," You state crying.

"It's okay. We can sit down on this bench and talk," He states soothingly.

He sit next to him and lean your head on his shoulder. He wipes your tears away with his fingers.

"Now I have nobody to go with me to the dance tonight," You sob.

"He isn't worth your tears. I'll be your date tonight don't worry," Sweetpea comforts you.

"Really?" You smile.

"Yeah I might even wear a tux for you," He jokes.

"You don't have to do that just because you feel sorry for me," You mumble.

"I want to because I like you," he blurts out.

"You like me?" You reply in shock smiling.

"Yeah. You are the most beautiful person I have ever met," Sweetpea states.

"Well I like you too," You smile blushing.

His fingers trace against your jawline as he tilts your head up. He grabs your face and kisses you passionately.

"I'll see you tonight," he winks before walking away.

A/N: It's been a few weeks since my last update but I have a lot planned for 2019. I'll update this book twice a month rather than once a week because I'm also writing another book.
