After about six hours of sitting in the back of a car with your family, you finally made it to the beach. You stretched as you got out of the car, taking a deep breath of sea air happily in the process. "Finally," you sighed out, then grabbed your luggage from the car and took it up the stairs and into the beach house, dragging it all the way to the back room with a bunch of bunk beds. Being the cat-like human you were, you decided to take one of the top bunks, setting your heavy suitcase on the bottom bunk.

Your dad knocked on the open door while you were putting clean sheets on the mattress, a short-lived smile on his face. "Honey, are you going to coop yourself up in the beach house all week? You do that enough back home. Your mother's concerned," he said gently. It was true you were a homebody; you never liked going out to hang out with friends and preferred reading in the house in your favorite hiding spot. Even though you were very lonely, you still preferred staying away from other humans. It really worried your parents, but you insisted you were fine.

"No, dad. I'm going to go out on the beach and not come back until I get a third-degree sunburn and a bit of skin cancer," you said sarcastically, which caused your dad to huff out a laugh. "Truly my daughter. Sunscreen is a thing, as well as hydration. You fall out on the beach I'm gonna let some random little kids bury you in sand," he replied before ruffling your short messy hair. You smiled at him and turned back to making your bed for the week as he left the room.

Around six in the evening, you decided to go out on the beach for the first time since last summer. The sound of the waves crashing on the sand was welcoming to you, like an old friend you hadn't seen in a while. The sun setting in the west, over the land instead of the ocean, painted the sky in beautiful yellows, oranges, pinks, blues and indigos. It made you so happy to be back at the beach after a stressful school year.

You found a mini-lagoon over on the shoreline and decided to stand in it, letting the salt water flow around your ankles and a little up your legs without getting your shorts wet. The wind blew your hair around as you looked out to the sea, smiling at the different shades of blue in the water. "I missed you," you mumbled into the wind. No one in your family loved the beach as much as you did.

For twenty minutes, all was forgotten as you closed your eyes and soaked in the feel of the water, the gusts of wind, the sound of the water making you deaf to the rest of the few people still out on the beach. It was just you and the sea and it was always meant to be that way. Your mom called you Little Fish for a good reason.

"Go talk to her! It's not hard, Jimin," a voice said, pulling you out of your zone and causing you to open your eyes. To the left of you, standing in the water a few feet away, were two boys; the light-brown-haired boy a bit taller than the dark-brown-haired boy. The smaller one caught your eye. While his tall friend was beautiful, naturally-dark skin turned golden by the sun's rays and eyes warm like a hug, his friend was even more beautiful.

Lips thick and plush, honey skin kissed by the sun, hair messy from the wind, dark puffy eyes shining with nervousness and something else as he kept looking over at you every few seconds. He was absolutely beautiful and you felt your heart skip a beat when those eyes locked with yours for a moment.

His friend rolled his eyes and dragged him over to you, a kind smile on his face. "Hi, I'm Taehyung. This is my friend Jimin," he said and it took you a second to realize he was the one with the deep voice. You couldn't help but notice how it flowed like melted chocolate. "H-hi, Taehyung. I'm (Y/N)," you managed to get out. Even though this boy seemed nice and much like a social butterfly, he was still intimidating. Especially without a shirt and your eyes were level with his wide, perfect chest.
