☆ Under The Streetlight ☆ (Jaemin Imagine #3)

Summary: Jaemin and your first kiss couldn't have been better but unfortunately you both had some spectators...

Neither of you had realized how late it was when you left the restaurant. You walked out to a dark sky, lit only by the streetlights, headlights of cars going by and the soft light radiating from house windows. Jaemin instinctively grabbed onto your hand as soon as he saw how dark it was.
"Y/N, it's really dark out and there's supposed to be thunderstorms, the dorms are only a block or two away so do you want to stay over tonight?" He asked, genuinely concerned about how you'd get home otherwise,
"Yeah, sure! I'll just text my mum and tell her what's happening" you replied, taking your phone out of your back pocket. After you'd finished texting you looked over at Jaemin, the look of worry that was on his face only a minute or two ago had now vanished and was replaced with his smile that you loved so much.

You and Jaemin had been dating for about four months now and you'd stayed at the dorms a few times before but for some reason neither of you had ever had the confidence to kiss each other so you just hadn't yet, of course you'd kiss each other on the cheeks but it never went any further than that. You both knew that you two were ready for your first kiss but neither of you ever initiated it out of shyness but, unbeknownst to you, Jaemin was planning to change that.

You felt the raindrops fall onto the little bits of your skin that were still exposed from your raincoat, they fell sparsely and were barely big enough to be called raindrops but they were definitely there. As minutes went by the rain started falling heavier and more, you reached into your bag you'd brought with you and pulled out the small umbrella you'd brought just in case, you opened it and put it over the both of you, Jaemin looked at you, surprised at the sudden stop of raindrops and slight shade but just giggled slightly once he noticed the umbrella you were holding.
"Here, let me hold that" he said, grabbing the umbrella from your hand before you even had time to say anything, his slightly taller frame meant he could hold the umbrella higher and cover a bit more of you two. You looked up at the umbrella and noticed it was mainly on you,
"Jaemin! Put yourself under the umbrella too!" You laughed,
"Ok, come here so we can both fit" he said, holding open one side of his leather jacket with his free hand, he pulled you underneath it and continued walking with his arm around you, both of you under the umbrella this time,
"You know we both could've fit under it without doing this, right?" You giggled,
"I know!" He smirked.

You continued walking until the dorms were in sight, just before you reached the building Jaemin stopped suddenly, right underneath a streetlight. You could see the raindrops falling now because of the light as you looked up, confused, at Jaemin,
"Why did you stop? We're basically there" you questioned,
"I just want to do something before we go in, I'd rather not do it in front of the other boys" he replied, gazing down at you lovingly as he took his arm and jacket from around you simultaneously. You stood in front of him, confused as to what he could possibly want to do that would justify stopping in the rain in the dark, you looked at him, confused, as the smile on his face grew, you were beginning get a bit annoyed at him as you stood there, the umbrella being the only thing protecting you from the heavy rain around you. Suddenly he gently placed a hand on your cheek and as he started to slowly lean in and gently pull your face closer to his you realized exactly what it was he wanted to do, your eyes fluttered closed as did his, before you knew it his lips were against yours, chapped and cold from the wind but amazing and just how you imagined it nonetheless. He pulled away and immediately you looked at your shoes, a pink colour dusting your face from your cheeks to your ears, you looked up to see Jaemin blushing just as much, scratching the back of his neck, you giggled at his flustered state and quickly stood up on your toes a bit to leave another small peck on his lips only causing him to blush more. He smiled at you and grabbed your hand again to make the very short journey journey to the door of the dorms.

Yuta opened the door, smiling as usual but this time with a glint of playfulness in his eye, as you both walked in he looked at Jaemin before raising his hand for a high-five,
"You finally kissed her!" He exclaimed, apparently you two hadn't realized how close the streetlight was to the window of the dorms and now all the members knew because of Haechan and Chenle's excited yelling as they watched, Jaemin hesitantly high-fived Yuta so softly that it barely made a noise.
"Congrats to the newly weds!" Haechan yelled, running in to the room to see you and Jaemin standing by the door, both your faces redder than ever,
"Can I be best man at the wedding?" Haechan teased, playfully punching Jaemin in the arm,
"Leave us alone" Jaemin muttered as he took your hand and brought you to his room where you continued to cuddle until you fell asleep. Haechan took pictures of you both while you were asleep but you both knew he wouldn't let you live because of the kiss anyway so you really didn't mind as he teased you both again for cuddling and for you wearing Jaemin's clothes since you didn't have pyjamas with you. You both just laughed as he continually tried to embarrass you both but it backfired as Jaemin only replied with,
"At least I have a girlfriend".

A/N: Sorry I didn't post the past few days, I met Dan and Phil and saw their show so that explains that day and the day after since I was asleep most of the day but I didn't really have inspiration the other few days. In other good news, I got tickets to see BTS in London!!!! I'm gonna have to fly over to London but it's only like a 45 min flight and my anxiety will probably be at an all time high but it's well worth it 😂
