AN// Taylor and Joe are famous in this, but I didn't feel like mentioning it in the story, but yeah, they are famous. Okay, have fun reading!!Taylor's POV
"Joe," I say after laying my infant son down for a nap, "I'm going to go pick Claire up from school." He looks up at me and nods his head. I give him a kiss and head out to go get my eldest from school.
I'm really hoping Claire had a good day today. Lately, she has been not wanting to go to school because some girls there are being mean to her. And Claire is a very sensitive girl. It hurts me to see her trying to act like she is okay every day.
As I get to the front of the school, I park my car and wait for her bell to ring. As soon as the bell rings, I look for Claire. I don't see her. She never stays after school. I park my car in a parking spot and get out. I go to her classroom to see if she is there. I see her talking to her teacher with tears running down her face. I knock on the open door and Claire runs straight to my arms. "Claire baby, what's wrong?" I ask. She doesn't answer, she just cries even harder. "Mrs. Alwyn, Claire has been getting bullied, and today some girls decided it would be a good idea to tell the whole class a rumor about her." Her teacher tells me. I look at her in shock. I never wanted my baby girl to be bullied. "The girls that were bullying her have been put in the other fifth-grade class. and their parents have been contacted and told about this." She adds on. I nod my head and thank her for telling me. Claire is still crying onto me, so I just lift her up to carry her to the car. She is light for her age, so this wasn't too difficult for me to do.
We get in the car and I wait for her to calm down to talk to her. "Mommy?" She says after a few minutes. "Yes baby?" I reply and look at her in the passenger seat. "Do you and daddy love me for real?" She asks quietly. My heart breaks. "Of course we do honey. We love you with all our heart." I say. She looks down and stares at her hands. "I have an idea." I say. She looks at me and I smirk. I start driving. We passed our street, I just kept driving. "Mom, where are we going?" Claire asks. "You'll see baby." I say back. I stop at Starbucks and order us drinks. We continued to drive for about an hour, until I pulled into a parking lot. She opened her eyes wide. I park in a spot as she looks at where we are. "Mom, where are we?" She asks me. "We are at the largest mall in Nashville." I smirk. Her mouth drops open. "Come on, let's go have a girls day." I say. I texted Joe while she was staring at the mall, just to tell him where we are, and that we won't be home for a little bit.
"Mom, what do you think?"Claire asks when she was coming out of the change room, with a mint green shirt and light blue skinny jeans on. "You look so gorgeous, darling." I said. She laughed at me referencing my own song. After a couple of hours, we headed home. "Today was amazing mommy, thank you." Claire says and hugs me tight. We enter the house and Claire runs to her dad, and he engulfs her in a big hug. "Daddy, mom took me to the biggest mall in Nashville!" She says excitedly. "Did she?! Well, wasn't that nice of her." He says and smiles at me. She nods her head and walks into the living room to show him what she got at the mall. before she does, though, she goes to see her baby brother, Cayden, who was laying on the boppy pillow. She looks at me for approval to pick her brother up. I nod my head yes and she picks him up ever so gently and kisses him on the head. As soon as he sees me, he started to cry. I go over and take him from Claire. Claire then goes to show her dad what she got from the mall while I feed the baby.
After dinner was finished, and homework was completed, it was time for bed. I had already put Cayden down for bed, and Joe had just walked out of Claire's room, after telling her goodnight. I walk into her room and sit on the edge of her bed. She sits up and hugs me. I hug her back. "Thank you for today mommy. I love you so much." She says and yawns. "You're welcome. I love you too baby. So so so much." I say and kiss the top of her head. "Mommy, can I change schools." She asks. I pull back and frown. "Darling." I say. She looks down and frowns. "How about this, because tomorrow is Friday, you can stay home, and we can just have a chill day. I can talk to daddy about middle school for next year, but I can't have you exchange schools in the middle of the year." I tell her. "But mommy, I don't want to be at that school anymore.: She says and starts to cry. I sigh, "I'll talk with daddy about it, but for now, you can have the day off tomorrow." I say. She wipes the tears from her face and yawns. I give her another kiss on her head. "Goodnight baby. I love you." I say. "Goodnight mommy." She says and closes her eyes. And just like that, she's out like a light. I walk out of her room and head to mine and Joe's room. Hopefully he has a good idea about schools.
