-Fate's POV-
As I do every day, I enter the Oena Temple so that I could pray.
I do this every morning so that I could keep my blessing with Oena, The Goddess Of The Sea. Ever since I became an Oracle, I come here every day because this place makes me feel close to her.
I've only met Oena once and that was close to two hundred years ago. I think I was seventeen at the time.
Once I became the Oracle, I was given duties like providing wisdom to the people of Yona City. I also have the ability to see the future.
That power is common when being an Oracle but being immortal wasn't. Most Oracles throughout history were mortals that could only foresee the future but there are some that were immortal.
The only way to become an immortal Oracle is to be chosen by the gods themselves. I was chosen by Onea herself to be her Oracle.
For the past hundred years, I've been providing wisdom and assistance to the citizens of Yona City. I do this because this was what I was meant to do.
Since I was chosen by Onea to be her Oracle, I must play my part to please her. I owe her that, at least.
As I thought about my past, a Priest came inside the temple to tell me something.
"Oracle, the people are ready for inspection." He told me.
Right, I forgot that I had to do inspections for the Festival. One of my jobs here is during The Onea Festival, I inspect the stands and other stations to make sure nothing will anger our goddess.
At the beginning week of June, everyone starts to prepare for the Festival. The Festival is a month long and it is dedicated to our sea goddess.
We do this to thank her for not destroying Yona City and some of the Country with her floods. To make sure that everything is in order, I have to make sure that nothing stands out and angers Onea.
When I first became an Oracle, I was so nervous and didn't know what to do. I didn't even know what would anger our goddess so I clammed up and couldn't make a decision.
I got some help from the priests and priestess and after a couple years, I was able to handle the inspections. Thanks to them, I was able to please our goddess and play my role right.
I left the Temple and followed the Priest that called me. While he was guiding me to the stands, I looked around the city.
There were people putting up decorations, kids playing around, and soldiers watching over the people to make sure nothing happens. I never get tired of seeing this scene.
No matter how many years pass by, this scene will always be memorable. I finally made it to where the stands were.
They were near the beach because, at the end of the festival, Onea appears and joins the people of the festival. Well, not much join us but allows us to offer her food at the giant Clam that appears in the ocean.
Anyway, I made sure that all the stands were nice and perfect so they wouldn't offend our goddess. Nothing seemed bad and inappropriate.
I also made sure to keep an eye out for the Onea Lovers who make ridiculous stands to get Onea's attention. They never angered her but still, it's rather rude to do such a thing.
If they want a goddess's affection, they should go to Neqtia, The Goddess of Love. That goddess wants the attention of everyone so the Onea Lovers would be perfect for her.
Unfortunately, Those Onea Lovers hearts are only for our sea goddess. There's no way I can stop them from loving her but I can prevent them from causing a disaster due to their stupidity.
