1.Mitsuha Miyazumi (the main character girl) desire to leave her hometown,it shows the younger generation in Japan dreams to go to city causing the migrations which the author said it is inspired off.
2.Your Name is made after 5 years of the earthquake in Tokyo,just like in the movie but the with a different disaster.
3.Makoto Shinkai the mangaka or the author of Your Name thinks his work (Your Name) is so overrated and afraid of the expectations people is putting to him.(I kinda agree lol don't hate me)
4.There is a advertisement that Your Name is involved with in Japan which is Suntory distilled water.(Gonna drink that)
5.There are light novels that are only based what Taki Tachibana (the main character boy) do on Mitsuha's body when they swap.

6.The author of the manga explain the meaning of colors on Mitsuha's braided ribbon,the white in the middle represents the comet that happen in the story.While the color blue for the lake in Mitsuha's hometown,the last colors are red and orange that represent the twilight.

7.Hina city which is the inspiration to Mitsuha's town and some other parts of Tokyo where Taki lives become a hit with tourist because of this anime/manga.
8.The Shinto dance scene in the movie shows the whole plot of the story if you interpret it.
9.Mitsuha is a height of 5'4 while Taki is 5'8.
10.Mitsuha's birthday is on April 28th while Taki is on May 9th,Mitsuha is older than Taki.
