Being married to Gerald was a blessing and a curse. The beautiful and damned Daniella. What a title for a Rolling Stones cover. I looked to my son who had his father's eyes. Eyes I could barely look at now.
Book 1: Drifting Back
Started November 17...
"You've got to be kidding me. He just left?!" I sighed before rubbing my head. "Suz I'm so sorry. I'll be in a flight as soon as possible."
"No! No! I've got him till you get home. Your a single mother you need a vacation Daniella. Ellie and I will be just fine." I felt warm lips press against my shoulder as I sighed.
"Thank you mom. I love you."
"I love you too sweetie. Get some rest." She hung up and I laid down, coiling into Aaron's arms.
"So he packed up and left just like that? Leaving Kevin with his mom?"
"Yeah. He's on some fuck shit that is for sure. I'm so sorry." I mumbled and he chuckled slightly.
"Angel it's okay. I'm not upset. I know what your going through and I love Kevin already. Gerald shouldn't have done that to him. That's his son. Maybe I can talk to him? Though I'd probably get sucker punched in the face, but we'll be optimistic." I laughed and shook my head before glancing to him.
"Let's just say my ex husband is a skinny thug. He's like Jesse Pinkman on Crystal meth. You never know what he's going to do next or how he'll respond."
"Note taken." He sighed and sat up, rubbing his face. "I gotta get ready for the shoot. It's at midnight. You can chill here or come down to the set. Whichever."
"I'll come with you. I would love to see thee Jesse pinkman Pinkman yo." He laughed as he slipped on his jeans, going commando.
"Yo bitch chill." I laugh and shook my head listening to him play his character for a moment. "mista white don't do good with girls around. Especially pretty ones like you." He smirked and leaned down to press a kiss to my lips.
"You're a fucking dork." I got up and wiggled into my clothes and grabbed a hoodie. Staying in the hotel would have been nice, but going to a TV show set was too good to be true. I grabbed my purse and a couple things before following Aaron out the door. It was nearly midnight as we walked to the awaiting SUV, admittedly my eyes were already heavy and I could surely have used the sleep.
The drive out to the desert set wasn't a far as I had expected. Then again most of it I slept buried in Aaron's hoodie. He gently shook me and motioned out of the car. I couls feel the cool breeze from the window down, but saw the lights nearby.
"Today Mr.White and Jesse have a meeting with Gus. It'll be quick. Probably three hours give or take." The SUV stopped and we climbed out. Bryan and Jonathan were two of his cast mates on the scene that I had met at the party before today. The others I'd surely get to know.
Paul hung his coat on his chair before glancing to me with a smile. He offered his hand and scooped me into his chair.
"You can sit here and watch. I promise I'll make this as quick and painless as possible."
"I'll be fine babe. Go on Pinkman!" I hollered as he rolled his eyes laughing. He wandered to the trailer dressing room and came out in baggy clothes. I covered my mouth giggling before I coiled in his chair. It wasn't long before I was fast asleep.

"Danny... Dannnnnnny." I opened my eyes to Aaron ready to scoop me up. Dare I say I could see the sunrise in the distance and groaned.
"Did I miss it all?"
"A bit. No worries. Your here that's what matters pretty bird." I placed my head against his chest as he carried me to the awaiting car. Bryan was already there, chuckling.
"She's not use to these late night."
"Now Mista white." I tried talking like Aaron's character before they both began to laugh. "Being a mother any opportunity to sleep is perfect. Hopefully Aaron finds me worthy to bring out on set again." He laughed and pulled me closer to him as the car started to move. His cologne lingered on his clothes only aiding to my heavy eyes.
"I find you perfect to bring anywhere." I closed my eyes and laid my head against his chest. No clubs were in his schedule or crazy parties. The craziest his life got was late nights filming scenes and room service. He wasn't a party person by any means. Perfect in my eyes.
A part of me worried about Gerald and about his mind set. How much his new girl was playing with his life. Then there was Kevin and surely how he felt. I opened my eyes feeling my motherly guilt kick in as I sighed.
"I think I gotta go home and be with Kevin. I hope he doesn't blame himself about Gerald just leaving."
"Well I'll go with you. I've got time. I don't need to be on set till tomorrow night. I'm sure I can find flights fitting enough. He can come to Arizona and I know plenty of fun things to do, he'll love it Dee." I sighed slightly he was too good to me. It was nice having someone ready to jump for you at any time.
"Alright I'll see what flights we can find when we get back to the hotel."
"You can even bring him on set. I'd love to meet him. Aaron has told me so much about him." Bryan smiled and I glanced to Aaron whose cheeks had turned a shade of pink.
"Yeah he's my baby boy. He's perfect. Except when he gets his father's attitude." I managed a half smile before looking to Aaron. It scared me in the best way how much this man could possibly love me. It was so much different than Gerald and I. Yet, with a person like me things were always set to fail in some way. Just not the way I had expected.
