Your scenes can be any length. Chapter can be any length. It's all up to you. You decide. You write a scene with a sentence or two. That's said, when you're planning your stories, knowing approximately how many scenes you'll need for a short story, novella, or novel is useful. It just helps you to plan your stories.
7 scenes for a short story: 10,000 words.
27 scenes for a novella: 40,000 words.
60 scenes for a novel: 90,000 words.
