Chapter 8

Shawn's Point of View

8:12 am

I was listening to 'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark' by Fall Out Boy, and it was bursting my eardrums as my friends around me were talking. All I did was go on Twitter and see what Ed was up to.

I really didn't give a fuck what anyone was doing. That James guy was a fucking asshole. The next song was 'Come As You Are' by Nirvana.

Last time I got this mad was at school last year for calling Nicole an 'attention seeking whore'. Nicole isn't that popular so I have no idea why he'd call her that. I'm not violent, but if it involves my little sister, Nicole's little sister, and Nicole, it just brings something out of me that wants to beat someone repeatedly.

It hasn't come to that, and I hope it stays like that. Everyone got up at the same time, so I kinda figured the bell rang to leave for first period. I got up and started walking to first period.

Ian was in Nicole's class, and he was in my homeroom just now. I hope he doesn't tell her what just happened.

It was finally lunch. The part of the day I was looking forward to. Nicole and I can act all coupley, and I'll love every minute of it.

Even though we have 4th period together, she had to go to her 2nd period again to turn something in, so she said she'll meet me at the table we always eat at. I was kinda hoping to come into the cafeteria together, but that can happen tomorrow.

My friends and I got our food and walked to the lunch table. We had a big group of friends, so if you got here last you'd have to stand. I was hoping Nicole did come last so she can sit on my lap. God, she's making me all mushy without her even knowing it.

Everyone was here besides Nicole, FUCK YES! After about 5 minutes, Brian and I were in a conversation about what we were doing over the summer when we weren't spending it together, when Matt caught my attention.

"Hey Shawn, look who just came in." I looked at him and he was smirking. I looked to where he was pointing and Nicole and one of her friends Aileen walked in.

I guess Aileen made a joke or something because next thing you know she burst out laughing. Nicole's eyes wrinkled and she had a dimple on her left cheek. Without me even noticing, the hugest smile made its way onto my face.

She was still talking to Aileen like it was the most important news ever, and she was getting closer to the table by the second. I just wanted to pull her by the waist and sit her on my lap, but that'll look weird.

"Okay, just tell me the rest later." Nicole said with her back to the table, as Aileen was walking away. Aileen replied with a simple 'Okay' and she left. Before Nicole could do anything, I grabbed her by the hips, gently, and sat her on my lap.

"Well hello to you too." she laughed. I chuckled and kissed her on the cheek. She blushed.

"Awww." the table said at the same time.

"Shut up." I could feel my face getting hotter. Nicole just laughed and blushed a deeper shade of red.

"What took you so long?" I asked her, aware of the stares our table was giving us.

"I waited a good 10 minutes, knocking and waiting, then the next door teacher tells me the teacher spends their lunch in the teachers lounge. I wasted a good amount of my time to look for her, but gave up. Then I ran into Aileen and we spent it talking about her boyfriend and now I'm here." she stayed a couple inches away from my face, but all I wanted to do was grab her face and kiss the living hell out of her, but all I did was chuckle and look away.
