*Harry's POV*
After kissing goodbye to Bo, I walk out of her dorm with a heavy heart. I can't love two girls at once, can I? I can't be some Mormon guy with eight wives. Then I would be a, to quote the movie GBF, "Mormon without the second 'm'." (I didn't mean to watch it, I was just curious and it sounded like a hell of an idea.)
The droopy music fills my car, and I resist the urge to turn it off. I can't listen to this sad shit when I feel this bad about myself, but I choose to turn the volume up and roll down my windows. My fingers tap against the steering wheel along with the rhythm.
After, hesitantly, getting out of my car, I lock my doors and drag my feet inside the apartment building. I ignore the wave from the guy behind the counter and trudge into the elevator. My hands stuff into the pockets of my leather jacket, my shoulders drooping. It's actually a really nice day outside, not really a normality for the middle of April. I can feel the sweat on my lower back, but ignore it when I get to my floor.
Moving down the long hallway, my bottom lip gets sucked into my mouth, tightly held in place by my teeth. I unlock my flat door, pushing it open to find a bunch of crap carelessly thrown on the floor just in front of the door. I kick my shoes off, bothering to step over the miscellaneous items and making my way inside, shutting the door behind me.
"Tessa?" I question as I turn the corner, finding her on the living room couch.
"Hello, Harry."
"Hi, Harry," another voice pipes up and my eyes move to my sister next to Tessa. I automatically smile, slipping my jacket off and resting it over the back of the couch. My vision trails to a picture in Tessa's lap, and my cheeks heat involuntarily. Not again.
Tessa's smirk is prominent when I groan and move behind her. I don't try to grab the picture from her because what's the point? She's already seen it. "You were a very pretty child," she states. "What happened?" Her smirk grows into a smile, and I know she's just kidding.
"Why did you have to bring that picture?" I ask Jess, who looks at me just as amused at Tessa.
"Who doesn't want to see big badass Harry Styles as a kid with makeup on his face?" She answers simply. I roll my eyes and sit on the other side of her, taking the picture in my hand and shoving it in my pocket. "Harry," Jess whines. "I don't want you to wrinkle it."
"Too bad."
"So," Tessa's attitude changes from joking to serious. "Why didn't you tell me you had a sister?" Her eyes look at me expectantly, as if I should be blamed for leaving out such a detail.
"Yeah!" Jess hits my arm. "Why didn't you tell me you had a sister?" And I find myself rolling my eyes for a second time tonight.
"You are my sister, Jess."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Shut up."
"Sheesh, Harry."
Tessa clears her throat and both my sister and I look back at her. Oh, right. "You see, I wanted it to be a surprise." And as soon as I said it, I knew it sounded like a lame ass excuse. "I mean, she's my sister, and I love her. I just wanted you to meet her because then you'd meet my whole family, well, besides Robin, but he doesn't really count and maybe my aunts and uncles and their kids-- my cousins, yeah-- but they're all in England and, while I'd love to have you come visit them with me, that's a lot of work and I'm pretty lazy most of the time but I want to change that so maybe I can be helpful around the house--"
"Harry?" Tessa looks at me, bewildered. And I realize I've been rambling nonsense. "I get it."
"Thank God, I didn't know how to explain."
"I can see."
"Well, I, for one, am feeling very offended because my own brother forgot to mention me to his girlfriend." Looking at Jess, she's smiling but I can read right through her. Her eyes tell me that maybe she's not so fine with me forgetting her. I instantly feel guilty and wrap my arms around her.
You're probably thinking: wow, he's got a soft spot for his sister. And you are totally right.
"Tacos for dinner?" I suggest and watch as both of the women's faces light up.
I do make a mean taco.
(A/N: Okay that last part was super carrots [omg I'm keeping this spelling mistake because carrots in capes] but I couldn't think of any other way to end it.
OMG IM SO SORRY FOR TAKING SO LONG TO UPDATE YOU PROBABLY HATE ME AND WANT TO STAB ME WITH PITCHFORKS AND I'LL LET YOU BECAUSE IM JUST THAT AWFUL OF A WRITER TO KEEP HER READERS WANTING MORE EVEN THOUGH THAT'S WHAT ALL AUTHORS STRIVE FOR
The reason I couldn't update was because these week was so stressful and draining that I could, literally, not get out of bed until dinner after school. But I promise that next school week [besides Monday and Tuesday, maybe] I will update every day.
I'm actually really excited for next chapter in Bo's POV. That means you should be excited, too.
Prompt questions to get you to comment: How awful of an updater do you think I am? Who do you ship? What do you think will happen next chapter? How do you like my story?
QOTD: Describe your room to me.
AOTD: Tumblr with clothes all over the floor.
Sincerely needing to clean [and do laundry],
