*Bo's POV*
"Bo?" Harry asked, his face full of shock. I watched as it turned from shock, to happiness, to fear.
I don't know why I did that. Why did I say his name? My life has been perfectly fine since he left. I don't need him in it anymore.
I just recognized his curls, and I couldn't help myself. Of course, I also saw the tattoos and the long, lanky legs. I wasn't sure if it was even Harry, but I felt the need to know.
Harry was just a big part of my life. He was my first sexual experience, my first love, my first heartbreak. I haven't loved anyone as much as him, and I don't think I ever will.
I smiled as I remembered the fun times we had together. The fun fair, the boxing training, the paint, and, yes, the sexual actions were hard to forget. I had so many good times with Harry, the one who made me branch out in life.
But, I also had some hard times with him. Like our first date, or the bruises left around my wrist, and witnessing all of Harry's fights. His temper was scary, and clouds most of my memories with him. His protective behavior was not forgotten in our departure.
He looks so different now. He's not the beautiful man I used to know. He has more tattoos, and a lip piercing. He wears black skinny jeans and a dark t-shirt. His curls are still there, but they've grown longer since I last saw him. His appearance has really changed, I wonder if his personality has, too.
"What are you doing here?" Harry's raspy voice snapped me out of my shock. His arm wrapped around the girl next to him, bringing her into his side.
The girl had blonde hair that spun in soft curls. She was only a few inches shorter than Harry, which was a big difference than my height. Meanwhile, I stood short compared to both her and Harry.
"Um, I-I am shopping for things," I stutter, holding the basket in my arms almost full of boxed and canned foods.
"I mean," Harry paused and reached up to scratch the back of his neck. "What are you doing here, in the US?" He was obviously uncomfortable around me, sucking in the lip ring between his teeth. I wouldn't blame him, I haven't talked to him for almost a year.
I shifted from my left foot to my right. "Um... I came here because my mom says American colleges were cheaper and somewhat better quality. There's a lot more of them here, than in England," I explained.
Harry's face contorted. His features showed that he was nervous, and he ran his fingers through his many curls.
"What college?" he asked.
"WSU," I answered. I evaluated his expressions, which were a mix between nervousness and shock. He brought his arm tighter around the girl next to him, his other arm reaching up and his fingers brushing against his lip. My stomach slowly started bubbling and churning at his reaction. Does he go to college? Does he go to Washington State?
I don't know why I chose here, of all of America.
"Cool," Harry whispers. "I guess we'll see you around campus, yeah?"
"Um, yeah," I reply, turning my eyes to the blonde. He hasn't introduced me to her. I didn't know if she was a friend of his or his girlfriend. Most likely it's the latter, because of his embrace of her. They seem happy together. Well, Harry was nervous, I guess, but they do seem happy.
The blonde brushed my shoulder as she walked by. She looked back and gave a small smile. It wasn't friendly, really, more of a 'trying to be polite' gesture.
I eventually made my way to the cashier, who rung up my things while holding a conversation. His name tag read "Jace", and he was very good looking besides the obvious bags under his eyes and messy tufts of hair. He must not get very good sleep.
"So, where do you go to school? I mean, assuming you go to school," his American accent drawled. American accents are charming, and now I'm surrounded by Americans!
"Washington State," I responded with a small smile.
"Oh, cool! I go there, too! Do you live in a dorm?" Jace asked. I nodded my head, watching his hands as they placed my items in bags. "You should come to a party this Friday."
"A party?" I mean, it's a Friday. But, is there a celebration? Is it an American holiday that day? Let's see, what's Friday?
"Yeah. It's going to be at the frat house."
"Oh, then maybe I will come. My roommate was talking about a party this Friday, maybe it's the same one."
The cash register dinged as Jace opened it. "I'm sure it is. That will be thirty dollars and fourty-two cents."
I handed him the money and told him to keep the change. It wasn't much, maybe it could go towards his gas money?
"Will I see you at the party?" he called out as I walked away from him. The smirk on his face meant he already knew the answer, I'm sure he picks up enough girls to know these things.
"Maybe!" I called back, turning and walking out of the store.
I started my car. It only took a few minutes to get back to my dorm, back to my new roommate named Steph.
