Red x Reader

Who here likes Pocky?

You held a jacket close to your person and your peppy Vulpix cuddles into your chest. The blizzard was rough, but you had to make it to the top. You had to meet the Champion. As you trudge through the wicked weather and white snow you thought back on your relationship with Red himself.

You grew up in Pallet town and you loved with your old grandfather when you oh were a tiny kid.  He passed on your tenth birthday but his one wish was to see you on a Pokemon Journey all the way to the end and beat the Champion, or a time least get all the badges. You set on a journey in his name and with no home to come back to, for it was mortgaged because you hadn't a job or guardian. On your way to your fifth gym badge you met a trainer with raven hair and crimson eyes named Red. He wasn't one for words but he wiped the floor with you and your Pokémon team of four at the time. You traveled with him for a while until it was time for the Pokemon League and it came down to you both And Red won, becoming the Champion. He retreated to the Mountain and you haven't seen him since the Leauge two years ago. You trained hard, it was time to meet him there and make your grandfather proud.

With a surge of determination you rush up the mountain when you see a spark of yellow light, electricity rather. Pikachu. You put one foot I  front of the other in the harsh wind, but it blows your cloak away and your shoulders are revealed. You hug onto Vulpix for dear life and squeeze your eye smile shut as you keep going. The coat flies upwards.

You pass out when you were almost there, jus barely putting Vulpix back in its pokeball and a box falling out of your bag. You grab onto it and the world becomes black and much much colder than any blizzard could make it. You felt frozen to the heart.

When you came to your senses you could see the same rouge eyes and raven hair that took you back to that day when you met him. Red saved you. Your eyes fluttered open and struggled to stay open, for they were practically frozen over.

You reclaim your balance and hug the tall male hovering over you. You coudl jear a sigh of relief as he returns your embrace. He pulls away and you smile at him with tears eyes, but the tears freeze into small balls of ice the instant they fall from your brightly hued orbs.

"Red..."

"(Your..... Name....)"

His speech was still broken and infrequent, but that was just Red. He saved you. You had a warm, fluttery feeling in your stomach that was melting the frozen factors that chilled your bloodstream and heart. You forgot about the battle you would ask of him. In the corner of your eye you see the box and all six of your pokeballs, but one was open. You then heard the happy cries of your new Vulpix playing around with his Pikachu. Vulpix was newly hatched.

"Thanks for saving me. How long was I out?"

He looked at you and blinked. He glanced over at the wall of his warm cave home to see little tallies on the walls. Six. Six minutes? Six hours? Six days?

"Six what? Hours?"

He nodded and you sighe dof relief. I'd it was days you woudl have to make sure your Pokémon weren't starving to death. You lay back down, not realizing you were on hsi one and only couch/bed in the cave. He smiled and looked over at the box. He cocked an eyebrow and showed it in front of you to convey he didn't know what it was.

"Oh, that's Pocky. A new snack that didn't came out. Stole it from Giovani after freeing Mewtwo again, never in stores yet. You can have a few sticks, I already grabbed one before venturing to the mountain to see you."

He put down the box and pointed a finger to his chest.

"Yes, I wanted to see you. Well, battle you. But that doesn't matter now since you probally have thousands of challengers and you saved me. Thank you."

He smiled again and took the box, takings a stick and putting it between his lips before closing his eyes. His face was emotionless, but you could Tell he enjoyed his Pocky. Maybe one day you woudl beat him.

Maybe on day you would confess.
