Lillith could not believe how bored she was. It felt like time itself has suddenly been stopped, replaying the same old moment over and over again.

She had never actually thought that life in space could be so…dull.

She sighed and looked out the window, staring out at the galaxy before her. And inky blue sky speckled with big, bright stars. She tapped a blue finger on the glass, connecting the stars.

“Lillith!”

She perked up at the familiar voice and smiled as her favorite turtle walked towards her, holding two telescopes.

“You’re not busy, right?”

“No, why?”<br>

“There’s this comet passing by and I wanted to know if you’d watch it with me. I’d have asked April but she’s doing something with Casey and…"

Donatello rambled on and Lillith felt herself drifting away.

As much as she enjoyed spending time with Donnie, it was hard to hear that she’d been his second choice. She was sure that the turtle hadn’t meant to hurt her feelings or anything. Donnie, as intelligent as he was, didn’t always consider other people’s feelings. Still, the sound of a huge, glowing comet was too amazing to pass up.

“So can you watch it with me?”

“Oh, sure. It sounds like fun.”

Donnie grinned and handed her a silver telescope.

“Let’s go then.”

As they set up the telescopes, they talked about metors and the like. Lillith felt herself relax into the conversation, reeling off facts and knowledge with Donnie.

“I didn’t realize you were so into space.”

“There were some books I read when I was younger. The made the universe seem so…endless and beautiful. I always wanted to see it for myself.” Lillith replied.

“Yeah? You don’t talk much about your life on Earth.”

“There isn’t really a lot to tell. I lived alone, I survived well enough. I miss my books but that’s about it.”

“No family?”

“None that I can remember.”

From the corner of her eye, she saw Donatello glance at his brothers. She knew that he was probably imagining a life without them.

“Well, at least you’re here now. You’ve got us, Lil.”

“And I’m thankful for it.”

“Hey, here it comes!”

Lillith looked through her telescope and saw a bright comet passing by in the distance. It had a firey violet color and it flew by, a bright pink light following it.

“It’s amazing…”

“I know, right?”

She could hear the excitement in Donnie’s voice and smiled.

“Thank you for inviting me, Donatello.”

“Anytime, Lillith.”
