Imagine waking up in the lair.

Everything hurts and the last thing you can remember is a group of Foot leaping out of the shadows…you groan and attempt to sit up. Pain shoots throughout your body and you gasp loudly.

Imagine your favorite turtle coming to your side.

Leo immediately puts his hand on your back and holds you steady.

“Careful, okay?” he says gently.

You not weakly and take a moment to clear your head. Leo kneels down and looks at you.

“Are you…are you feeling okay?”

“Not really. Leo…what happened? I don’t remember anything.”

“The Foot Clan attacked you. They were trying to send us a message through this. I’m sorry.”

His blue eyes darken and he swallows hard.

“You don’t have to apologize for anything. You didn’t do this.” you tell him.

“But I could have stopped it. I didn’t protect you, Y/N. I should have protected you.”

You reach out and press your hand to his cheek. He looks at you, his eyes brimming with tears.

“You can’t be everywhere, Leo. You can’t stop everything. The important thing is that you’re here now, when I need you.”

He manages a weak smile and kisses you gently, trying not to hurt you. You would need time to heal…and he would be there for every second.

Raph stops mid sit up and rushes over to help you.

“Easy, tiger. Take it easy.”

He takes you by the shoulders and helps you get steady, his eyes filled with concern. You close your eyes and try to work through the pain. After a few moments, you look at Raph and not.

“Okay there?”

“Not really, no. How long was I out?”

“Since last night. It’s late now, so a long time. The Foot…”

He trails off and looks away, his fists clenched at his side’s. You begin to remember last night’s attack and sigh.

“Yeah, I know.”

“They’re gonna pay, Y/N. I’ll make ‘em pay.”

You shake your head and say<br>

“It won’t help. They won’t be sorry, they won’t even care. And it doesn the help the bruises, Raph.”

“Then what do ya want me to do? Sit here and count to ten? Breathe in and out real slow?”

You grab his hand and look at him. For a moment, you’re quiet. You lean foward and kiss him, forgetting the pain for that little moment. You pulled away and said,

“I want you here with me.”

He laughed weakly and kissed your forehead.

“Then I’m gonna be right here, tiger.”

Donnie runs over catches you.

“No, no, no, not too fast. You’ve been through a lot, Y/N, you need to take things slow.”

You take a few deep breaths as Donnie takes a seat next to you.

“Donnie..”

“I’m right here. What do you need?” his voice is shaking and he doesn’t let go of you.

“What happened?”

“The…the Foot jumped you. Nothing broken, but you have a quite a few bumps and bruises. Are you feeling okay?”

You shook your head. Donnie sighs and says,

“Y/N…I’m so sorry.”

“Why? You didn’t do anything?”

“I know. I didn’t walk you home or even send one of my brothers. I didn’t even consider that the Foot would ever try something like this! I didn’t think and now you’re hurt and it’s all my-”

You cut him off with a small kiss. Pulling away, you rest your forehead against his.

“It wasn’t your fault. I know that I can’t stop you from blaming yourself but please believe me when I say that I don’t blame you.”

“I just…I wish I could have stopped it."

“I know…”

You kissed him again as he held you gently.

Mikey is trying not to cry.

He cried on and off for hours but he doesn’t want to cry in front of you. Tears are brimming in his blue eyes as he helps to sit up, keeping a steady hold on you.

“Hey…take it slow…”

His voice is hoarse and his hands shake as you look up at him.

“Mikey, what…what happened? I remember leaving the lair but that’s all.”

“The Foot got you. You took a big beating but Son says that you’ll be fine.”

Your hand grasps on to his and he looks at the bruises running along your arm. Deep, dark marks that make his breathe catch in his throat.

“I dunno why they did this…I mean, I know it was a message. But I don’t see how anyone could look you in the eye and just…just…”

He couldn’t stop himself from crying. Tears streamed down his face and you looked at him.

“Mikey…”

“I’m just so sorry. I should ha-have been there, I should have taken you home or just…just something.”

“Mikey, it’s okay. I’m okay, right?”

Mikey wrapped his arms around you and held you gently.

“I was scared, Y/N. I still am. What if they send more guys after you? What if…what if next time…”

“Then we’ll be more careful. One you guys can walk me home. Give me a curfew or something. We’ll be alright, Mikey.”

He held you for a really long time, not willing to let go.
