Leo knew how much that snowglobe meant to you.
You had told him that it was the last gift that you had ever received from your father, who has died when you were twelve. That it was incredibly important to you. And he had just destroyed it.
He stared at the pile of shattered glass and sparkling water, picking up what was left of the snowglobe.
The mermaid looked up at him with sea green eyes, a long crack going down her once happy face.
“Leo?”
He looked up and saw you standing in the doorway, looking worried. The care in your eyes only made him feel worse about the entire thing.
“I heard something fall. Are you okay?”
Leo looked at the disfigured mermaid before handing you the remains of your snowglobe.
“I bumped into your shelf and it fell. I’m sorry.”
You held it in your hands, staring at the blue haired mermaid. Leo had expected you to get upset or even yell at him but you were totally silent.
“It can be fixed right? I can just take it to Donnie.” Leo said.
“Yeah, probably.” you replied.
“I’m sorry.” Leo said, his voice seeming small and quiet.
“I know.”
You sat the snowglobe down and looked at him.
“I understand that it was an accident. But you can understand why I’m upset, right?”
“Of course. And I’ll make sure that it’s fixed as soon as possible, Y/N. I’m sorry.”
You shook your head.
“You don’t need to keep apologizing, love. It was an accident.”
Leo smiled a little and took your hand in his.
“You know, you can tell at me a little bit. If it would make you feel better. Call me a jerk or something.”
“Yelling fixes nothing. I think cuddling is a better choice.”
“I agree.”
He picked you up and carried you to your bed, setting you down gently. You layed your head on his chest and he kissed your forehead gently.
