▸ Hot water is bad for your hair! Rinse/wash your hair in cold or warm water.

▸ For the last 30 seconds of your shower, rinse your hair with cold water as this helps lock in moisture, nutrients and closes your hair cuticles.

▸ Teasing or back combing your hair is actually really damaging. It can break your hair. If your really want to do this, use your fingers!

▸ There isn't really much point in shampooing your ends (unless you've had a product in your hair) so just shampoo your scalp.

▸ When you're shampooing your hair, try not to use your nails as this is damaging to your scalp. Try using the pads of your fingers as this helps lifts dirt and grease.

▸ Wide-toothed combs refuse frizzy flyaways.

▸ Don't wash your hair every day. In doing this, you strip your hair of all it's natural oils, leaving the hair dry and lifeless. I'd recommend washing your hair at least every other day.

▸ When using conditioner, focus on the ends of your hair as they need most nutrients. Before applying the conditioner, wring out excess water so your hair can absorb the conditioner better. Leave the conditioner in for at least 3 minutes before rinsing.

▸ Don't brush your hair with a hairbrush when it is wet. Your hair is at its most vulnerable state when it's wet and it is more prone to breakages. It is fragile so comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb to prevent breakages.
