Being a major part on one of the most popular television shows, you probably know her as Emily Perkins from AMC'S 'The Walking Dead'. Or, you could know her as the rising star within the music industry. However, there is so much more to Mya Emerson than that, and we're here to figure that out. So, everyone please welcome the one and only, Mya Emerson!

I've been dying to do this interview for weeks, so I am extremely happy to finally have you here, in this studio, sitting down and talking to me.

You're welcome, and can I just say that Erin [Emerson] – your sister – looks absolutely stunning today.
Yeah, it's a rare occurrence.

[Laughs] No, I'm joking. She's beautiful every day.

And if I'm correct, your family is just you, your sister and your parents?
Yes! My parents live in London, where I was raised, but me and Eren live over here for our careers. However, we're still a really close family and skype call all the time. I get at least two calls every single week from them, wanting to know exactly what has gone on and who I've been hanging around with and I can't even miss a single detail.
Speaking of who you hang around with, who is your "crew" or the people who you surround yourself with?
Good people, I hope. I try to get rid of any negative influences in my life, because while working on Girl Meets World, the main message of the show was that people change people, and ever since I've kind of lived by that. I mainly surround myself with The Walking Dead cast and crew, who are all extremely lovely and I feel so blessed whenever I'm around them. But along with them, I also have my sister who is in the group, then there's Colton [Brooke] and Sam [Paytas]. We're a tight group, and we all get along with each other and lift each other up. Whenever I go on tour, which I'm just going to say, is coming up, the group is slightly different. There's obviously my amazing band. Hailee [Stark] comes along too, sometimes with Colton, Sam, Katelyn [Nacon] and Chandler [Riggs]. Then, obviously my family come along with the exception of my father, who still has his job back at London, and then sometimes Eren doesn't tag along due to her work.
