A/N: I've realised I've been doing more one-shots of new people rather than my other ones so I'm gonna try and do the others instead of the new ones. Soz.

The Silent Girl
People never saw her speak or even utter a word to anyone except to Bella Swan. The two arrived to Forks from Phoenix, like two peas in a pod. Everyone knew Bella because of who her father is, but for her companion? No one knew about. The last time strangers came to the small hometown was the Cullens family but they were old news. Bella and her friend were the new toys.
   Not only was she silent, she was also very beautiful. Raven dark hair, pale flawless skin, and dark green eyes that could lure anyone in even though they were cold and distant.
   The Cullens were confused of the girl. It's like she's one of them but at the same time she's not and is a human. Was that even possible? They weren't sure. But since they saw her help Edward stop the van from hitting Bella with the same strength as Edward, they had a hunch on what her true self was.
   Even when Edward spent those small times with Bella, he tried to get information about her friend from her, to no avail. Bella was loyal to her friend and wouldn't reveal anything, and also because she didn't know some information herself. Her friend was as mysterious as the next person.

She followed behind the couple inside the house, looking around warily. She made sure to pay close attention to Bella when they go further in the house.
   Food could be smelt the closer they got to the kitchen, followed by the sound of a cooking show. Finally reaching the kitchen, they came across most of the Cullen family cooking food. . .for them, by following a man on the tv.
   Obviously the vampires were a tad surprised that she was there since Edward never told them of the plus one, but were nonetheless glad to meet her.
   "Hi I'm Esme," said woman approached the two, shaking their hands, "you must be Bella and -"
   "Marilyn," the friend of Bella's said. She shook hands with Esme. "Marilyn Mabel."
   "Nice to meet you, Marilyn." Esme beamed. Carlisle introduced himself to the two girls, sending a thoughtful look to Marilyn while doing so. Said woman just gave a blank look. "I hope you're hungry." Esme told the two.
   "Oh yes, absolutely -" Bella agreed.
   "They already ate." Edward cut in, sending a look to his family. With that said, the bowl Rosalie was holding broke in her hands and all over the floor, the woman stepping over it as if it wasn't even there.
   "Perfect." Rosalie sneered, glaring at them. Marilyn glared back just as easily, standing in front of Bella much to everyone's surprise.
   "It's just. . ." Bella said weakly. "We assumed. . .because, well, we know you guys all don't necessarily eat. . .so, you know. . ."
   "Of course. That was very considerate of you girls." Esme told them assuringly. After a tense conversation that ends with them holding back laughter from Bella's blunt comment, movement comes from the corner of Marilyn's eye.
   Turning to the balcony, she saw Alice and Jasper entering from a tree branch. Marilyn and Jasper's eyes connected, both of them freezing as a pull came to them from inside, trapped in each other's gazes. Marilyn distinctly heard Bella call out for her worriedly, followed by Emmett saying, "Oh wow. Looks like Jasper found his."
   When Jasper and Alice finally arrived, Alice immediately brought Bella and Marilyn into a hug. Still Marilyn and Jasper never broke eye contact.
   "-and this is Jasper." she heard Alice say. Even though he planned on not going near the two, Jasper made his way to Marilyn, sending a look to Edward which he understood, pulling Bella closer to him just in case.
   Jasper held a hand out to her. "It's lovely to meet you, ma'am."
   "Likewise." Marilyn placed her hand in his, getting her knuckles kissed chastely. He didn't let her go after the kiss though; he tugged her hand and brought her to his chest, into a tight hug that she returned. He buried his face in her hair, taking in a breath of her and immediately met with vanilla and honey.
   "Um. . ." Bella said confused.
   "Jasper found his mate!" Alice sang happily. Bella was still confused.
   "I'll explain during the tour." Edward told her. "Come on, let's leave the two alone."

In the end, they found out that Marilyn was in fact a hybrid; half-human, half-vampire. They were all intrigued; Carlisle especially wanted to ask her questions and do small examinations - with Marilyn and Jasper's consent.
   Marilyn and Bella were them given an explanation about mates - something Jasper and Marilyn were much to the two's surprise. Sure they attended the same school, but not once did they share eye contact; Jasper making sure he didn't eat anyone, Marilyn making sure Bella wasn't in danger.
   The Cullens were also given an explanation that Marilyn protected Bella ever since they met in Phoenix. Marilyn viewed Bella as a little sister and so she hung with her and protected her. Edward was glad Bella had someone like Marilyn in her life - especially after the birthday accident.
   Jasper had also left Marilyn, much to their despair. Marilyn was left in a state like Bella. Even with her own pain, Marilyn still made sure Bella was safe; risking her life diving after Bella when she went cliff diving, and when Laurent decided to give them a visit; unfortunately she couldn't go to the Volturi because of her rare species that would be feared so she had to stay behind at Forks with the remaining Cullens. Let's just say Marilyn wasn't impressed with the Cullen family - and she made sure they knew the pain the two girls went through.
   Firstly, Marilyn kicked Edward where the sun didn't shine for him, much to his annoyance. Bella was concerned for him during the time, but deep down she knew he deserved it after what he sent her through.
   And then secondly Marilyn slapped her own mate, to everyone's surprise. She didn't slap him once though - oh no, she did it twice. One for thinking the birthday accident was his fault and leaving him drowning with guilt; it was a small incident that no one prepared. The second one was for breaking her heart and leaving her in Forks for months on end with no contact at all. For the others, she gave them a silent treatment with a few glares; being the silent person she was. They didn't see her speak to anyone but Bella during it. But nonetheless, in the end they met their happy ending.
   Bella and Edward got married and had Renesmee, Bella turning into a vampire in time. But then the Volturi came again giving Marilyn another reason to slap Jasper and to ignore Alice for when they had suddenly went up and left. But even then, Jasper made it up to her by proposing to her, and eventually having a child again.
   After that, they were truly happy and lived happily ever after.
