Royalty and Laws
"Thank you for considering this request." Kaien bowed to her respectively. "With two Purebloods and one of them being royalty. . ."
"It's no problem, Headmaster!" she waved off happily. "You're a family friend. Anything for you, father says."
"Awe! So kawaii!" he squealed, unexpectedly bringing her into a hug. It only lasted for a second however, since he was shoved off of her immediately, making him fly to the opposite wall. She frowned at her bodyguard.
"That wasn't very nice, Astuko."
"I apologise, My Lady." he bowed down to her apologetically. "It was instinct."
"My mistake too!" the Headmaster added from his spot on the wall. Atsuko winced at the sight, helping him out of the small crater. Just as he did, the door opened unexpectedly to reveal the Disciplinary Committee of two. Zero took in the sight, quickly bringing out his Bloody Rose. Not knowing what to do, Yuki followed him and brought out her Artemis. Kaien along with his family friend's daughter yelped in fear.
"Gah! Scary weapons!" she squealed. In a blink of an eye Atsuko was in front of her protectively, sending the two glares.
"Stop!" the Headmaster interfered, jumping in between the four. "This is all a misunderstanding!"
"Headmaster?" Yuki asked confused. "What is going on?"
"These are our new students!" he exclaimed happily. "Atsuko Rain and Lady Haruhi Rose, the Princess of Vampires."
"Of vampires?" they said in disbelief. Said girl bowed to them politely, yet shakily.
"N-Nice to meet you." she stuttered with a weak smile. "U-Uh, is there any chance you can put away those weapons? They frighten me. . ."
"I'm sorry!" Yuki rushed out, tucking away her weapon. Zero followed shortly after though more reluctant. "I didn't mean to scare you!"
"Tch." was all the silver-haired man said. Yuki elbowed him roughly. "Ow! What was that for!"
"That is not how you should act around Lady Rose -"
"Atsuko, it's fine!" Haruhi assured him quickly. "I'm sure he has his reasons hating our kind." Zero barely hid his surprise at her words. A vampire was defending him? Someone she didn't know?
"You're too good for your own good." Atsuko sighed, shaking his head.
"Naw, that's a good thing, Atsuko-chan!" Kaien beamed. "She has a personality just like her mother!"
"May she rest in peace." Atsuko said respectively, bowing his head. Haruhi hummed sadly in reply.
"Ah yes," Kaien turned serious, "may she truly rest in peace."
"Y-Your mother passed away?" Yuki asked in sympathy.
"When I was just a baby." Haruhi explained sadly. "That's why I'm scared of your weapons. My mother was killed by them out of hatred and fear."
"Lady Rose did nothing but show kindness to all species including humans." Atsuko grumbled. "She did not deserve that cold-hearted death."
"Then. . .shouldn't you hate us then?" Zero said confused. His family got murdered by vampires and he absolutely loathed them. Why wasn't she doing the same for her situation?
"Even though she was murdered by your people, I still want to make peace amongst us all. She would have wanted that, and not revenge. Even though I didn't grow up with her, she still raised me right with her spirit!" she replied happily. "The stories I heard about her told me how kind and selfless she was, no matter what. That you should always give people second chances, and hear each side's stories." She rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. "Kind of weird, hey."
"N-No! That's really nice, actually!" Yuki assured her with a smile. "It's nice that you're here as well to set that example!"
"Thanks!" Haruhi beamed. "Um, so. . .what's your name?"
"Oh, silly me!" Yuki face palmed. "I'm Yuki Cross! This silent idiot is Zero Kiryu. But don't let his scary front get to you; he's actually really nice!"
"Yuki!" Zero snapped. Yuki merely smiled at him innocently.
"Anyway!" the Headmaster butted in. "These are your uniforms. . ." He handed them the white uniforms. "These are your timetables, and the rule book of the Academy."
"Thank you, Headmaster." the two vampires thanked.
"Kaname Kuran should be coming shortly to escort you to the Moon Dorms." Kaien assured them. And as soon as he said that, there was a knock on the door. "That must be him! Come in!"
