Lucy's POV
It was Friday and I had somehow managed to avoid Jeno and Donghyuck all week. That was until lunchtime when the girls decided that they wanted to sit on the same table as the guys, so that Markrin and Jaena could be together. The only seat left for me was inbetween Jeno and Donghyuck, and the atmosphere was so awkward that I just wanted the ground beneath me to suck me up so I could escape the tension, as I could feel their stares coming from either side.
Luckily, Renjun was sitting opposite me so at least I had someone to talk to. He probably noticed how uncomfortable I felt because he suddenly asked, "Can you help me with my music homework after we finish eating?"
I nodded gratefully, because now I had an excuse to eat quickly and leave the cafeteria. As soon as we finished eating, Renjun and I waved goodbye and left.
"Thanks for getting me out of there by the way." I told him as I let out a sigh of relief. I can't help but feel so much pressure to make a decision, just sitting next to them makes me feel nervous. I honestly don't know who I like more, and I would hate to ruin our friendships by creating an awkward situation...
"No problem, but I'm just wondering... Are you leaning towards Jeno or Donghyuck more?" Renjun asked smirking.
I raised an eyebrow at him, "Not you too..." I mumbled slightly disappointed.
"Hey I was just joking! But if you want to know, I'm Team Jeno." He told me grinning.
Once again I gave him a weird look, "Why Jeno?" I asked curiously, after all it's always good to hear other people's views.
"I don't know, you seem closer to him, and I personally feel like you two get along better in terms of similar types of humour and personalities." He explained.
"Are you calling me a no-jam?" I joked. "Yes, but don't worry I'm one too!" Renjun laughed, giving me a high five.
"But don't let Donghyuck know I said that, and besides, it's your choice anyway." He reminded me. "I know, but I really can't choose at the moment." I sighed.
"Don't get too stressed about it, and for now, you can hang out with me!" Renjun said giving you a nudge and a smile.
"Thanks and I'm guessing that you don't actually have any music homework?" I asked. He shook his head, "No that was just an excuse I made up."
"Good because that means we can have some fun!" I exclaimed before grabbing his hand and dragging him outside. "I'll race you to the tennis courts, the loser has to buy the winner hot chocolate after school." I said before I started running. "Hey! That's not fair!" Renjun shouted as he ran after me.
Of course I arrived first, which led to me doing an amazing victory dance. Well, amazingly bad...
Renjun laughed at my terrible moves, but ended up joining in with the dancing.
Once we stopped, I realised how cold it was to be standing outside, without a coat in Winter. I shivered, "C'mon let's get back inside, I'm freezing." I complained before we ran back into school.
"I'll buy you that hot chocolate if you wait for me outside my Korean class after school." Renjun said.
I agreed and so, once my last class finished, I headed to his classroom.
I was waiting directly outside the door, so when someone walked out, they immediately bumped into me. We both apologised and bowed, but once I looked up, I frowned.
It was Jeno...
He looked surprised as well but quickly smiled, "Hey, were you waiting for me?" He asked hopefully.
I could feel my face turning red, "Sorry, but I was waiting for Renjun." I told him quietly. "Oh." He said looking embarrassed.
I don't know why we are so awkward, I'm just afraid that if I'm too close to one of the guys, the other will get jealous, so the easiest thing to do is avoid them both.
"I guess I'll see you on Monday then, have a good weekend..." He said quietly before leaving.
As soon as Renjun walked out, I sent him a desperate look. "What's up?" He asked concerned.
"You never told me that Jeno was in your class! I just had an awkward encounter with him..." I said cringing at myself.
"Sorry I forgot, but let's forget about them for now." He said guiding me outside. We went to the nearest cafe, where Renjun bought the hot chocolate that he owed me.
"Hmm..." I mumbled as I took a sip of the drink. Renjun grinned, "You have whipped cream on your lips." He laughed as he passed me a napkin.
"Thanks." I said as I wiped my mouth. "Hey, can I ask you something?" He said looked up at me nervously.
I nodded, and waited for him to continue. He took in a big breath before saying, "What do I do if I like a girl?"

I'm trying to include Renjun in more since he's an '00 liner too and he seems to be a good friend for Lucy :)
