Insanity

(A/N: republished for the new addition to Insanity's personality. Be warned that I did this simply because I forgot to add it in. It is...slightly disturbing, be warned.)

A blue screen showed up on the computer. It asks for the password before you proceed.

Looking down on a piece of paper they gave you, you enter the code, making sure it is correct by doing it over again.

The screen loads onto a desk top, with a folder in the center, which says 'PROJECT: INSANITY' which has been last edited thirty six years ago.

You click onto the folder, and open a video file. Suddenly, the video starts playing without you pressing the play button. It shows an animatronic, tied up with something, staring straight at the camera. Someone was behind the camera, shuffling papers around.

You hear a calm but firm voice asking questions, while the animatronic answers.

Name: The animatronic looked blankly onward. Scribbles were heard.

Age: "From creation, or, from mentality?" The animatronic asked back, starting to be visibly tense. A voice says, "From creation." And the animatronic shakes his head, "Four...maybe...five years..."

Gender: The animatronic looked confused. The question was repeated, giving it the choice to go by him or her. The animatronic seemed to be sad, "Him...okay...I am male."

Species: The animatronic stared blankly at the person. "You don't know....it's animatronic....I think. I am so much more too." Eventually, the animatronic chuckles and his eyes show a very dark side behind it.

Looks: It has a light grey body, with fore arms, legs, muzzle, underbelly, and ears and around the eyes are dark grey. Their eyes are very odd. It is blue with a white ring around the pupil, which is slit like a feral beast. It looked around the room currently, and it keeps its focus on the camera, and something off the camera. ((but I only have a picture of his face currently))

Strengths: The animatronic sat up, still tied up.  It looked around the room, and some figure pushed an energy carton in the shot. The animatronic's eyes went wide, then the grin became insane as it absorbs the energy, causing the carton to become a dull grey instead of blue.

Weaknesses: The figure then reached out for something, and came back with a spear. The animatronic hissed and tried to back away, and the figure aimed at them. The animatronic cowered and went silent. Stayed like this for a minute, then the figure returned with the spear and put a broom sweeping part on it. "Hiss at me again, and I will make sure this thing will actually be used to skewer you." The figure said, before returning to behind the camera. (also, their battery runs out very quickly, and they are very vulnerable to electricity and ranged weapons, but they can survive it)

Personality: The figure talked behind the camera, aiming it away from the animatronic as they pick it up and walk with it. "Their programming is interesting. As if someone was not paying attention as they programmed it. Their personality can vary a lot, similar to people who suffer bipolar issues. But they talk to themselves, and other figures that are not present in the room. They cannot deactivate properly, as their chip has been damaged, as well as their battery, which no one can replace as it seems to be hand made."

He then sighed, "They also, after being highly agressive or upset, will attempt to harm themselves for no reason. Any attempt of self harm will need to be stopped. Because if they continue it, they end up being agressive for a few hours, then for the next hour or so, it will want more energy to make themselves be able to attack anyone again."

Abilities: The figure walks to a desk with schematics on it. "Again, we don't know. It will be enraged enough to destroy objects and humans without any reason or mercy. But it can also seem to enjoy simple things too easily. Like glowing things, it distracts it enough to try and figure out what it is rather than if it can take energy from it." He places the camera on the desk. "It also can cloak into its environment whenever necessary."

Special Abilities: He thinks for a while. "I'm not sure. But I am pretty sure that it can cause others to turn insane. A lot of people have disappeared when they spent too much time with them. We would find the people weeks later, maybe even hours, and they would be curled up with their mental stability...well, unstable."

Energy Drain: Can drain energy from previous or present hosts and other sources.

Energy Sense: Can sense energy/heat/moving sources without needing to see them. 

Possession: Can possess hosts if conditions are right. He can also make a person insane if they spend enough time with him, which again, takes a long time.

Invulnerable to: Stealth attacks.

Likes: The man turns the camera to somewhere so the man is barely in the shot, he covers his face and groans in frustration. "That...thing, cannot seem to like certain things. It may like something one time, and the next minute it wants it gone."

Dislikes: "Well, mainly us if we wear white lab coats...also, in general, most weapons we show them. They seem to forget what my weapon does to them. The broom is just a disguise look." He falls back on his chair.

Suddenly, alarms start blaring and the man cursed, getting up and out of his chair. Something jumped from behind him and slammed him onto the desk, causing the camera to fall off of it. Blood was splattered over the floor, and that was one of the things the camera could spot in such darkness. Night vision was automatically turned on for the camera to see in the dark.

The animatronic gingerly picked up the camera, looking over the papers that the man, now dead and missing a head, had.

Friends: "Friends.....what are friends? I never had friends. I don't remember any good ones I lived with..."

Enemies: "Enemies...what are enemies as well? Maybe the humans. Humans are disgusting to listen and talk to." The animatronic giggled happily, changing their color to a darker version of them, "But they are interesting to eat and kill! Their insides are all weird. Squiggly!"

Other: "Other...what?"

Theme: He looked confused. (Creature Feature - Dem Bones)

Guardian/Bond?: "What is that? What are those?" ((Coming soon))

The animatronic looks at the camera, noticing how much energy it has. Grinning, then camera turned off, and the video stopped playing.

You log out of the account and stand up, trying to ponder this information. You now knew what it is, but their name has never been mentioned.

That is when it clicked. Project: Insanity is not just a name for it, the Insanity. It is also a promise, that when it is created, it will cause this to everyone else.

Just in time to intercept other animatronics who want to live peacefully.
