Safe In My Hands

Always standing just outside of a circle, no one lets you in blame it on yourself but your looking in the mirror through a broken window, shout it out all the noise that you let in let it go just fade away. If you could only see there is only light where you think there's shadow. In the night, every road you take in the night, brings you back to me yeah don't stand alone I'm right here. So take my hand don't be scared we can go anywhere, you don't have to run you don't have to hide coz' I got you safe in my hands.

Alex is sitting her apartment drinking scotch like she does most of the time drowning herself in her thoughts, so she doesn't hear her door open or close. Maggie is the one that came through the door, these two don't really know what they are at the moment. They both like each other but neither will say anything because they are scared to ruin what they have right now, not knowing that it could only get better. Maggie looks up to find Alex drinking at the island in the kitchen and frowns to herself, thinking about what could be the matter with the girl that she is hopelessly in love with but won't admit it. Maggie walks over to Alex and sits down next to her and puts her hand on Alex's thigh and she jumps not expecting company. Alex looks to her right and sees Maggie

Al: What are you doing here?

Ma: I've been texting you for the last hour and you never answered, I got worried

Al: Well here I am..... (looks at her glass)

Ma: What's going on Alex. Kara called me and told me you never showed up for work?

Al: Nothing, I'm fine

Ma: No, you're not Alex, what's wrong?

Al: Nothing I just... I.... I thought I had it all and now I have nothing, all I feel is pain now

Ma: What happened Alex?

Al: They finally found my dad and they shot him in front of me, and the worst part of it was that it was my own girlfriend that shot him, he's dead Mags she shot him straight through the heart (crying)

Ma: (hugs Alex tight) Oh Alex I'm so sorry

Al: We could have helped him, he could have been saved. He was a good person Maggie, they held his kids' lives above his head so he would work for them.

Ma: I know Al I know and I'm here no matter what, I got you

Al: (chokes on tears, buries head in Maggie's shoulder)

Ma: (wraps Alex in a tighter hug)

Maggie picks Alex up and Alex wraps her legs around Maggie's waist as Maggie carries her to the couch where Alex cuddles further into Maggie crying her eyes out. Maggie is just there for Alex and is her rock in this cruel world even more than her ex-girlfriend Lucy was. Alex and Lucy were together for 3 years but her killing Alex's father was it for Alex and she dumped her right then and there and walked away from her, then hoped on her bike and went home. Alex falls asleep in Maggie's arms so she just lays down on the couch with Alex snuggled into her chest and falls asleep herself. The two sleep through the whole night and Alex is the first one to wake up in the morning and gets ready to go on her morning run just as Maggie is waking up due to there being no heat on top of her. Maggie finds Alex in the kitchen dressed in running shorts, tank top and Nikes.

Ma: And where are you off to Danvers? (smiles)

Al: (smiles) Moring run, do you want to come with me?

Ma: Sure, but im not dressed for that

Al: Top drawer on the right side of my dresser, grab whatever

Ma: ok give me 5

Maggie comes back 5 minutes later dressed in shorts, Alex's old National city university shirt and her Nikes that she was wearing when she came here last night. The two walk out and head on their run, they end up running 5 miles because Alex is taking her feelings out on her body and Maggie surprisingly can keep up which is new since Alex is the fastest in the DEO. Once they get back to Alex's place Alex hops in the shower and Maggie waits on her in the kitchen. About 5 minutes into her shower Alex hears the bathroom door open, clothes hit the floor and the shower door open but she doesn't move. Next thing she knows is that there is a body pressed against her back and a kiss on her neck and she knows who it is. Arms wrap around her waist and a kiss on her shoulder blade and she moans. She pulls a quick one and has Maggie pinned to the wall and kisses her hard which causes her to moan and Alex to smirk. Alex kisses down Maggie's jaw and says "god you're so hot" and Maggie wraps her arms around Alex and brings her closer so there is no space between them. The two can't keep their hands off each other and can't decide who is top and who is bottom so they keep slamming the others back into the wall, till Alex grabs Maggie by her thighs and carries her to her room and throws her on the bed, crawling up after her. Alex reaches into her bedside table drawer and grabs her handcuffs and dangles them in front of Maggie's face who moans out a "god yeas please" and Alex smirks while cuffing Maggie and pinning her hands above her head with one hand and gets to work on the amazing woman below her. Alex knows that she is in Love with Maggie and has been for a while but still won't say it out loud. After a very sweaty and earth shattering 2 hours later Maggie is laying on Alex's chest as she runs her finger through Maggie's hair she finally speaks up after months.....

Ma: I'm in love with you Alex, I know this is shitty timing but I've been in love with you since the day that we met

Al: (smiles) I'm in love with you too Mags, have been since the day we met

Ma: So are we gonna give this a shot

Al: Of course, but I want to let things die down first. I have a lot going on with my dad and Lucy but I promise we will give it a shot soon

Ma: ok good, but I want it now so how about we keep this on the low for a while?

Al: Fine by me (kisses Mags)

Ma: I love you

Al: I love you too Mags

Alex and Maggie don't move from where they are, nor do they out clothes on. The two spend the night cuddling and eating pizza in bed totally naked. Lucy comes by that night to try to talk to Alex but Alex throws the bag of her things at her and tells her to get out but she won't leave, so Maggie comes out of Alex's room wearing Alex's university hoodie and shorts and walks up to Alex and puts a hand on her lower back.

Ma: I think the lady asked you to leave Lucy

Lu: What's it to you Cop? (Maggie hates that word, she is a detective not a cop)

Ma: Now Lucy (growls)

Lu: Oh, no I'm scared

Ma: (turns dark and possessive, wraps arm around Alex's waist) You should be, after what you did to her you really think that she would go back to your piece of trash ass, ha-ha yeah right. You may be in the Army and a liaison for the DEO but you certainly are not one for Love Lucy, you don't even know what it is since your father never showed it to you. He always wanted a boy but no he got you and you always fall short in his book because Lois is his favorite and we all know it. Plus, you and James never worked out, yet you claimed he was the love of your life even when you were with Alex. You don't even know who you are so how are you supposed to know who Alex is. Now I suggest you leave Alex's Apartment now before I arrest you Major Lane.

Alex stands there shocked at what just came out of Maggie's mouth let alone that Lucy is crying. Lucy picks up her bag from the ground and looks up at Alex and says "I'm sorry" and walks out of the building. Alex turns to Maggie who wraps her arms around Alex's waist...

Al: That was so hot (bites lip)

Ma: Your hot

Al: So are you

Ma: Shall we go back to what we were doing before we got interrupted?

Al: We shall

Maggie backs up Alex all the way back to the bed and it's her turn to Cuff Alex to the bed and they spend the rest of the night making love to each other, then falling asleep in each other's arms completely happy and fulfilled. Maggie couldn't be anymore happier to have the love of her life finally in her arms and knowing that she is more safe with her than anyone else. Maggie got the Girl and the Girl got the bad girl.
