Okay, I have compiled a list of terms for Supernatural OC makers to know. These are good words, although some of them made up, and any OC creator should take heed to them.

Original Character - Character created by a fan or non-writer to be placed into a fandom universe or a universe also created by the fan/non-writer. Some of these reflect the maker. (See self-insert)

OC - Antonym for Original Character.

Mary Sue/Gary Stu - A bad OC that usually descends canon and is overly perfect. They are the center of every story they are in and usually annoy quality character creators. Horrible. What we strive NOT to be. Mary Sues are no-nos.

Self-insert - A character that reflects the maker's personality/looks. These characters usually hate the characters that the writer hates, and love the characters the writer loves. They are looked down upon most of the time. Sometimes includes the author being transported to SPNverse.

Anti-Sue - An overly depressed character with a rough past, created for the sole purpose of torturing, making them more "special" than other characters. Usually looked down upon.

God-modding - Making your OC rule over everyone else's in an RP. Looked down upon.

Roleplay - Playing as a character in an online message board or somewhere similar.

RP - Antonym for Roleplay.

Face Claim - An actor to play the part of your OC in an RP.

FC - Antonym for Face Claim.

Kawaii Snowflake Syndrome - An OC that has KSS is usually made to be special, pretty/handsome, and better than everyone. They attract many of the opposite sex and hate most members of their own sex, even going as far to kill them. They are also hated in RPs. Similar to Mary Sue.

KSS - Antonym for Kawaii Snowflake Syndrome.

Dean Alike - This term is Supernatural exclusive. A lot of OCs act suspiciously similar to how Dean Winchester does because some character creators want to pair their character with Dean, and believe that he can only be with someone that acts EXACTLY like him. Also if they cannot think of an original personality. This term is associated with bad writers.

Canon - Basically meaning official.

Shipping OC - An OC that has the sole purpose of getting Dean and Castiel together or getting them to break up. Or any couple, as a matter of fact. I find these especially horrible.

So if you want me to add a term, critique your OC, vent about an annoying Mary Sue you saw, or tell me about your personal OC pet peeves, you can do so in the comments! Thank you! If you want to vote, you can also do that and I give hot cocoa to anyone who either comments or votes. c:
