Chapter 34: What Happened After Returning to L.A. from Michigan Part 3

~February 3, 2017, 1200 Pacific Standard Time(1500 Eastern Standard Time) SmoshGames HQ~

Shelby's P.O.V.-

Today is my fifth day back at work and I am excited to be back at work because I have been sick for what felt like an eternity and then after I was released from the hospital, I had to spend two weeks at home recovering because I was still considered contagious and because I needed to get my strength back up. While I was at home recovering over the last two weeks, Mari and Wes took good care of me. Wes ended up taking the two weeks that I was recovering off so he could take care of me. Mari wanted to take time off to help Wes with me, but Wes told her no because the others needed her at the office more than they needed him at the office. While I was out sick and recovering, I saw a ton of super nice tweets from fans and comments on videos from fans wishing for me to get better soon. When I arrived at the office after being out for almost a month on Monday, I was welcomed with a party that was planned and thrown by Wes, Marhinki, Lasercorn, Joven, Flitz, Courtney, Shayne, Olivia, Noah, Keith, Ian and Anthony. When I saw the party, I was overcome with joy because I didn't realize how much my coworkers and bosses missed having me around to flirt with Wes and to pick on, since I am the 2nd youngest out of all of the Smosh people, Noah being the youngest at 19. After attending the little party that was thrown for me, I went to my desk and I saw that my desk was covered in envelopes and cards and flowers that were half dead and balloons that were half deflated, with the unopened envelopes being from fans who sent cards to the SmoshGames P.O. Box and the cards being from the other people that work on the same floor as SmoshGames and Smosh, like The Warp Zone and the Clevver people. When I pulled my chair out from in front of my desk, I saw unopened boxes sitting on the chair and placed on the floor underneath my desk. I was so confused as to why there was so much stuff on my desk and around my desk, so I went to the recording room to ask why there was a ton of stuff on and around my desk. When I was finally noticed by someone, I asked why there was stuff on and around my desk and Sohinki told me that when they heard that I was sick and Wes was missing from videos because he was taking care of me and because the fans were asking where Wes was, that they had made a video explaining what was going on and why Wes was missing and that the fans had flooded the P.O. Box with get well cards and presents for me and that there were people on the floor that the office is located on that sent cards, flowers and balloons for me while I was out as well. When I was told why there was a ton of stuff for me at my desk, I asked for help to carry it to Wes' car because I am still not well enough to drive to and from work on my own yet. After carrying all of the things that were at my desk to Wes' car, I was given something easy to edit before Wes and the others asked me if I wanted to go to Which Wich with them for lunch and I told them that I would love to go to lunch with them. After the guys asked me if I wanted to go to lunch with them, we had to decide who would go in who's car. I suggested that in Wes' car it would be me and Marhinki and then Joven, L-Corn and Flitz in Joven's car. The others liked that idea, so in Wes' car it was me and Marhinki and then Joven drove himself, Lasercorn and Flitz. When we regrouped at Which Wich Flitz and Lasercorn complained about how bad Joven's driving is. We all ordered our sandwiches after listening to the complaints. My sandwich had salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, cucumbers, black olives and italian dressing on it. I told everyone to write their YouTube names on the bags so that we could see if the lady could pronounce any of them. "The Edits of a Fan Girl!" "AtomicMary!" "Wes the Editor!" "A name that I can't pronounce!" "FLits!" "Laser Corn!" "The Jovensheer!" As we walked out of the resturaunt, we laughed at how the lady got my name, Wes' name and Lasercorn's names right but not Mari, Flitz, Joven and Sohinki's. She couldn't even try to pronounce Sohinki's name, so it doesn't count for or against him. When we got back to the office, the guys and Mari wetnt back to the recording room and I went back to my cubicle to get some more work done and eat my lunch. When I was done with my lunch, I got up to throw my sandwich wrapper away and when I got back to my cubicle and sat down, a rag was placed on my mouth and I don't remember anything else because the rag must've been doused in chloroform, which is used when dissecting animals or when someone is kidnapping someone and they don't want the kidnappee to scream.
