Chapter 17: The Work Halloween Party Part 1

~October 3, 2016 After Wes and Shelby having 2 proper dates instead of just lunch~

Wes' P.O.V.-

I was just informed by Matt Raub that he was planning an office Halloween part for us, us being Smosh Games, and The Warp Zone and whoever we wanted to invite to the party. Even though Shelby is an employee of Smosh Games and will probably be invited to the party, I want to invite her to go with me because I want to take her out on another date and the party would probably be a sufficient date. I am one of those people that I have to take the person I want to date out on multiple dates and get to know them better before I ask them to be in a relationship with me because I have jumped into relationships before and the relationship just didn't work out because the person I was dating either didn't like things that I liked or we didn't have any common interests at all. Hopefully Shelby will accept the Halloween party as a date because on our first actual date, I let her choose where we went and we went to the local bowling alley and arcade. On our second actual date, I chose where we went, I chose to take her to the movies and I took her to dinner after the movie so we could talk and get to know each other better, and now that I know Shelby better, I want her to be my girlfriend. Hopefully Shelby will want to be my girlfriend, because if she doesn't want to be my girlfriend, I don't know what I will do or how I will even talk to her at work since we are both editors and we edit some of the videos together. Now that I am planning on going to the Halloween party, I need to think of what I am going to dress up as. I am thinking of dressing up as Link and having Shelby be Zelda even though we aren't a couple yet and since Shelby is really into The Legend of Zelda games, I figure that going as Link and Zelda would be the perfect costumes for us. 

Shelby's P.O.V.-

I heard a rumor that has been going around the office that there is going to be a Halloween party for Smosh Games and The Warp Zone and that Wes wants to ask me to the party because apparently Lasercorn and Sohinki overheard Wes talking to himself and thinking out loud that he wants to invite me to the party as his date even though I will already be invited since I am an employee of Smosh Games. I also heard that he wanted to go to the Halloween party as Link and Zelda, which is okay with me, since I am as big a fan of the Legend of Zelda games as he is. I want to ask Wes if the rumors of him wanting to ask me to the Halloween party are true, but I don't want him to know that I know that he wants to ask me to go with him. I talked to Mari, Courtney and Olivia about it and they told me not to ask him about it and to pretend like I had no idea he was going to ask when he asks and to also let it go for now since I heard it as a rumor that he is going to ask me. I took their advice and let the whole thing go so that if and when he does ask, I'm surprised.
