Chekov ducked under an out cropping of rock. The deep alien chatter above him made him hold his breath. After a few seconds, the chatter sounded off in the distance so he took the risk to run back to his hideout. Climbing, running and crouching, Chekov found the cove he had staked out a week and two days ago when he was left stranded on the alien planet. It wasn't anyone's fault, just him being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The alien chatter started up again, but this time, it sounded closer and more urgent. Chekov moved a little closer and peered around a fallen boulder, spying five of the humanoid aliens invading his hideout. He said a few choice Russian words as he backed up and headed for his backup place, thanking all the stars in the sky that he followed his instincts.
The chirp of his communicator startled Chekov, causing him to dive behind a tree to take cover. Pulling it out, he listened to the one-sided conversation with Kirk as the Enterprise tried to stay together under heavy fire.
"Mr. Chekov! We know you aren't dead yet because Scotty has your transporter signal,"
Chekov about yelled in excitement, but thankfully remembered to stay quiet save he should be caught and the trouble the crew went through be all for not.
"-but we have sustained heavy damage as we hold these guys off. Do you think you can hold out for a few more days as we repair? Uhura and Spock are handling the negotiating while we handle the...uh, never mind. Turn the communicator off twice for yes and three times for no."
Chekov looked around him then down at his grubby stolen clothes. Taking a deep breath and shrugging he turned the communicator off twice. What more can he do than wait?
"You're a trooper Mr. Chekov, I won't forget this. I'm sorry it's taking so long. Hang tight." And with that, the communicator shut off.
"I better get his secret stash of whisky this time." Chekov grumbled half-heartedly as he entered behind a wall of green vines and into an open cave holding the rest of his supplies. Somehow he has to get this to last him a few more days.

You let out a quiet, slow breath as you peered through the window slats while you dangled off the outside window pane. They were talking about that alien boy again. You have been tracking him since he was left on your home planet. You can't figure out why in the world they would leave such a smart and quite attractive crew member.
You hear a loud crash from above, pulling your attention away from the delegates inside. A fiery ball of ship debris rained down from the sky. You rolled your eyes and looked for a way down. Of course, they would resort to fighting and the poor guy got left behind. But a voice from inside the room that you haven't heard before made you pause in your trek down the wall. You spotted two members of the boy's crew enter the room, one was a tall pointy eared man wearing a blue shirt the other a female wearing a red dress with long dark hair. You cocked your head to the side, they would be a pretty cute couple. The one with pointy ears suddenly looked in your direction. You took in a quick breath as you ducked, hoping he didn't see you.
As quickly and as quietly as you could, you lowered yourself the ground, finally letting out a breath of relief. You checked your surroundings before you headed to your stashed survival bag behind a tree. Once you got to it you noticed movement off in the distance. A group of five guards were patrolling but it was the lone figure running below them that caught your attention.
"It's him." You whisper in awe. Without hesitation, you grabbed your bag and ran in his direction. You were not going to lose him this time. And this time, you plan on knowing why he was left.
