There's a small Taylor Swift cookie somewhere... I'll love you forever if you can find it!
There I was again tonight forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired, lonely place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and vacancy vanished when I saw your face
All I can say is it was enchanting to meet youYou bite back a bored sigh as your best friend, Mayzie, introduces you to yet another cluster of people. You pretend to be interested in the conversation as best you can, swallowing all of your sarcastic remarks and fighting the condescending thoughts out of your mind. Instinctively, you sweep your eyes across the room, hoping that an escape route will present itself. Your gaze is lazy, but your senses sharpen when they meet the chilly blue gaze of a man across the room. He stares back at you, intrigued, and you feel an automatic pull to him.
Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette starts to make its way to me
The playful conversation starts
Counter all your quick remarks, like passing notes in secrecy
And it was enchanting to meet you
All I can say is I was enchanted to meet youAfter a few moments of the intense staring, the blue-eyed man begins to cross the room. Your heart rate becomes more rapid until he's right there.
"So after much batting of the eyes, we finally meet," says the man, wearing a grin that you figure doesn't leave his face much.
"Good, my eyelids were starting to get tired," you shoot back. Your eyes dart to Mayzie and her company, and the man notices this.
"Wanna get away from them?" he offers.
You mirror his smile. "Please."
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet youThe entire night consists of light-hearted banter, something you and the man who introduces himself as Finn Dandridge seem to be very good at. He offers to drive you home, since you'd come with Mayzie, and you politely accepted. He delivers you to your home without trying anything and offers you a warm good night wish. The phrase brings a blush to your cheeks, which are already flushed from the cold. You return the words and watch as Finn smiles. He turns around and saunters back to his car and drives away. You watch as the tail lights slowly get fainter against the night sky and you pray that you'll see him again.
The lingering question kept me up
Two a.m., who do you love?
I wonder till I'm wide awake
Now I'm pacing back and forth, wishing you were at my door
I'd open up and you would say, hey
It was enchanting to meet you
All I know is I was, enchanted to meet youWho is Finn Dandridge? Is he really the man that you've already fallen for? Will you ever see him again? The questions dance throughout your head, occupying your every waking second until it's two in the morning. And the question that burdens you the most is: is he in love with someone else? God, you want him here so bad. What if this were a movie? He knock on your door and sweep you off your feet. He'd tell you that your face hadn't left his mind since he took the first step off of your porch. But if this was a movie, he'd be here by now.
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
This night is flawless, don't you let it go
I'm wonderstruck, dancing around all alone
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
I was enchanted to meet youYour eyes eventually flutter shut and you doze off, teetering on the brink of awake and not. You go through a hazy dream, a replay of the car ride with Finn. You laugh together, and though you're lucid, you don't change a thing. But when he escorts you to the doorstep, you almost go in for a goodnight kiss. But a sudden noise echoes throughout your dream.
This is me praying that this was the very first page
Not where the storyline ends
My thoughts will echo your name, until I see you again
These are the words I held back, as I was leaving too soon
I was enchanted to meet you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on youYou emerge from your sleep, wondering if you dreamt the doorbell ring. But then it sounds again and your heart leaps. You untangle yourself from the quilt on your bed and slide in your socks down the hallway, pausing only to adjust your hair and t-shirt in the mirror before slowly opening the door.
"Hello?"
This night is sparkling, don't you let it go

I was enchanted to meet youFinn grins that loveable grin at you, immediately bring one to your face as well.
"Hey."
You greet him again. "Hi."
He smirks. "As much as I'd love to go through every variation of 'hello,' I think I'll just cut to the chase."
Your heart pounds. So the movies weren't lying. "Yes?"
Finn brings his hand forward and holds your clutch out to you. "You left this in my car last night."
You gasp slightly. You didn't even notice its absence. "Thank you! Everything was in there! My cash, my license..."
Finn holds up a hand to stop there. "It's alright."
"Do you want to come in? I can make you breakfast, or something. As a thank you."
Finn eyes you strangely. "It's 11."
Oh. It was 11. Apparently, you sleep in.
"Oh," you laugh nervously.
Finn brushes it off. "As much as I'd like to stay for brunch, I've got to go. My girlfriend's waiting for me at home."
Please don't be in love with someone else
Please don't have somebody waiting on you
