"Rieka! Rieka!! Wake up!!!" Naruto's screamed into her eyes, Rieka felt small yet surprisingly strong hands grip her shoulders, shaking her wildly.

Her eyes shot open, swatting away the toddlers hand with an irritated grumble. Rieka slowly sat up, greeted by a throbbing headache, her throat parched. She shot the child a small glare, eventually a softening as he sprung about.

"Its christmas! Its christmas! Santa came!!"

Rieka couldn't help the growing smile on her cheeks, flinching slightly at the intense tone but smiling none the less. Slowly climbing out of her warm bed, digging her feet into her fluffy slippers, her toes curling up slightly at the comfort. Rieka stood up, nursing her aching forehead as she shuffled towards the kitchen.

She picked up a glass from the counter top, quickly flipping on the tap and filling it up with water. Rieka flipped the tap off, bringing the glass to her lips, greedily chugging it down before slamming her glass down.

"Can I open them!?" Naruto asked, fidgeting slightly in excitement.

Rieka smiled, nodding. His face lit up into a large grin as he sprinted off towards the large tree they had decorated weeks earlier. Rieka walked over to the window, peeking through the curtain to discover a thick layer of snow, covering all of Konoha.

This brought a smile to her face, normally it was very hot and dry in Konoha during the holidays, but it seemed to be a different story this year. Naruto had never seen snow before, also coming down with an unlikely illness each winter, though it rarely snowed in the Land of Fire.

She felt as if this christmas was going to be very accomplished, after all, it was Naruto's first white christmas. Rieka had her first when she was barely over a year old, back in Kirigakure, where snow was also rare, but not as much.

"WOW! A kunai?! Thanks, Rieka!!" Naruto grinned, leaping to his feet and wrapping his arms tightly around his godmother.

Rieka patted his head, smiling as she knelt down to pinch his cheeks. "You better get dressed, Mikoto-San expects us over in a bit, and we don't wanna anger her."

Naruto nodded, paling slightly at the thought. After Kushina's death Mikoto had gotten a lot worse at controlling her emotions, revealing the Uchiha Clan Head's wife had a very Uzumaki-Like temper, bringing back all kinds of horrific memories.

Rieka looked up to see Naruto emerging from his bed room, dressed in blue shorts and an orange top, clearly underestimating the weather. She called him over, quickly dressing him in a thick coat and bright scarf, finishing him off with a knitted beanie she had received from Mikoto awhile back.

She slipped into her own coat - having already dressed in jeans and a tight black jumper - and wrapped her dark scarf tightly around her neck. Rieka took Naruto's hand in hers, and pulled open the door, greeted by a sharp cold wind.

Rieka shivered slightly, pulling the scarf higher as she watched Naruto run out into the streets in pure awe.

"WOW!!" He gasped, his eyes lighting up.

It was a heartwarming sight, though it would have helped if she wasn't freezing to death. Rieka quickly locked the door behind her, burying her hands into her pockets and trailing behind the hyperactive Naruto as they made their way over to the Uchiha Compound.

"Merry Christmas!" Mikoto smiled, pulling Naruto into a motherly hug, followed than by Rieka who gladly accepted the gesture.

"Come in." Mikoto stepped aside, allowing Rieka and Naruto to enter, closing the door behind them.

Rieka quickly stripped both herself and Naruto of their winter clothing, feeling the heat from the fireplace burning through.
