Mephiles x reader: Into the woods

You are Human.

If you go into the woods today you'll get a big surprise...

"How much farther is this party?"

"Not much farther, I promise."

The (H/C) haired teen then continued to lead the anxious looking brunette boy through the ebony forest.

"So uhh... how many people are going to be at this forest?" the boy asked not liking the silence.

"A couple of people, but there's one person in particular that I want you to meet." she replied, but her voice sent shivers up his spine.

Not daring to say another word the boy preferred the silence now. Soon though they stopped a little way off the walking track of the forest.

"Well here we are!" she said throwing her arms in the air.

"Are you serious? This is where you go to bury a body! Not a party!" the boy exclaimed, finally realising he'd made a huge mistake following this creepy girl.

"Funny you should say that..." she smirked.

Oh how the boy would have liked to have run away at that point, however he had failed to realise the purple entity approaching from behind him. So when he turned to flee he was met with a claw to the throat.

Collapsing onto the ground he chocked on his own blood in a matter of seconds before his body became limp. The cause of death lifted it's clawed hand again and the boys body began to crumble away into flakes, which floated towards the hand being absorbed by the killer.

Soon the only thing left of the body was his skeleton.

Meanwhile the girl watched the boys body disintegrate with a stone expression, obviously not caring about his demise. She was just absent minded as she wiped a small drop of blood off her cheek licking the copper taste off her hand.

"So was this one any better?" She asked the creature.

The purple entity morphed into the figure of a hybrid hedgehog, but his body consisted of violet obsidian, his glaring Sakura eyes in a constant glare and being the only indication of expression, him having no mouth.

He gaze tore from the skeleton and to her waiting figure.

"It was... Adequate." He replied slowly in a deep voice.

"So basically he had barely any chaos energy." She huffed.

"Indeed you are lacking (Y/N), you usually bring offerings with more amounts energy." He said.

"Well sorry, remember I'm here of my own free will. I don't have to bring these people who can restore your powers. But it's getting late so I'm going to head back. See you later Mephiles." She said waving a lazy hand at him before heading back through the forest.

From the tone which the two spoke to each other one would be able to easily figure out that this was routine for them, despite how gruesome it was.

A routine that had started when (Y/N) was a child no more than six years old...

"Mummy can I go into the forest?" The pigtailed (Y/N) asked eagerly.

"No (Y/N)! You know your not aloud to go on your own!" Her mother snapped.

But children don't like being told 'no'. So naturally she waited until her mother was asleep before sneaking out, indulging herself in nature she enjoyed the forest for all it was.
