You are a 5 year old (A/T)
We fear the things we don't understand, often a correct truth and an out right lie.
"Mummy... where are we going?" a young (A/T) whined.
"Just to grab a couple of bits and pieces." the mother replied in an annoyed voice.
But the little (A/T) had more than one reason to complain, first thing today her mum had taken her into town not telling her why, as well as putting her in two T-shirts, a cardigan, a coat, a pair of trousers with shorts underneath and her sturdiest trainers, despite it being summer.
And as they walked down the streets of shops in the scorching heat her mother refused to release the iron grip on her slender wrist. She led her into a multi story shopping centre, taking her to one of the floors before stopping at a random bench in front of a random shop.
"Right, sit here sweetie, mummy just needs to go get something from one of the shops. So stay here and don't move." the mother instructed.
Timidly the child took a seat on the smooth wood.
"How long will you be?" she asked.
But mummy was already gone. So staring at her lap she did as she was told, because when ever she didn't do as she was told mummy always got angry. Very angry.
As she sat there because she couldn't tell the time yet she didn't know how long she was sat there, long enough for the big hand to pass the number 10, and 11, and 12, and 1 even the number 2. Eventually the light started to fade through the glass roof and even though she didn't want to be told off, the little thing wanted her mum more.
So standing up she walked in the opposite direction of all the other shoppers heading for the exit. Thinking the fastest way to find her mum was using a lift she reached up to the button on the wall and the lift doors pinged open, but walking inside she didn't notice the 'out of order' sign that was above her head on the doors.
Her eyes scanned the bright buttons and decided to press the 'B' button, because her mums name was Barbra, so that must take her to where mummy is. But when the doors slid shut and the lift gave a sudden jolt, a sharp *SANP!* was heard above.
The next thing she knew the lift was descending to the basement level at such a speed that her feet were lifted from the floor, and the fall was over as soon as it started with an almighty *CRASH!*.
The small figure collided with the floor harshly, whimpering from the pain of her joints she wanted mummy more than ever as she tried to look through the dust falling and flickering light. Now, and with good reason, scared of the lift she headed to the doors and much to her relief there was a gap just big enough for her shaking body to fit through.
The area she stood in was cold and desolate, it looked like a destroyed and forgotten level of the shopping centre. Broken pillars, bricks and dust far as the eye could see. She was suddenly glad for all the layers her mum had given her, and with that thought suddenly craving her mother again.
However the (A/T) then caught sight of something. Something with the figure of a Mobian, something.... purple. Not knowing what it was she started to run over the uneven ground excited at the bright light, unaware of the fright she would get.
Close to the light she saw it was a hedgehog with his back to her.
"E-excuse me mister?" she timidly asked reaching to touch his arm.
"DON'T TOUCH ME MORTAL!"
A strike to the chest sent her bashing into the rough ground ripping open the knees of her jeans, not able to hold them back any longer she began to cry looking up at the purple figure in front of her through watery eyes. And he just glared back her with his bright fuchsia orbs.
