It might just be me but Smoky Quartz's look and weapon reminds me of that really cocky and obnoxious kid that would typically tease the main character in the older shows like Jimmy Neutron.
I can see her saying-
"Move it dweeb!"
"Out of my way, Loser!"
I think it makes me like her more XD
