Chlorine? Yuck!

Have we all been in a pool? I believe so! 😂

In pools, they put this substance, called Chlorine. It's named after the element on the periodic table, because Chlorine kills everything alive in your pool. 👻

Now, if you accidentally swallow a gulp of pool water, it's okay. I mean, your stomach might hurt for a a few minutes. But if you eat chlorine out of the pool, you're going to the hospital. 😱

But mermaids and mermen just hate the taste of chlorine. I mean, regular humans hate it too, but tasting the chlorine is like, the nastiest thing you could ever taste. 😖

And, if humans look underwater in a pool, their eyes will sting, yes, but for mermaids and mermen, triple the sting and that's what it feels like! 😵

However, one of my friends has a pool that doesn't use Chlorine. She uses this saltwater cleaning thing. I have no idea what it's called, but it works! And mermaids and merman can look underwater and see everything perfectly! It doesn't taste weird, either. It tastes like one of those soft pretzels I get that the mall sometimes. 😂

I told my dad about the situation, and how the seasalt cleaning was better than the chlorine. Being as stubborn as he is, though, I'm still stuck with that nasty chlorine water pool. 😒

The bottom line is, chlorine is nasty. And if you're a mer, try getting that seasalt cleaning stuff, although it'd be a lot easier if I knew the name of it. 😟
