Chapter 31

*warning sad chapter so be prepared*

Matt's POV

"Mia!"

It felt like everything had happened in slow motion. Mia had let go of me and had ran in front of the sword that was about to plunge into Hook's side. Instead it hit her and she was now falling to the ground. My screams filled the air as I ran as fast as I could over to my sister, Henry right behind me.

Snow had hid her face in Charming's chest while Charming had tears in his eyes. Regina had a hand over her mouth and Robin was giving her a side hug. Emma watched Mia fall with tears in her eyes as she stared at the sword in horror. Hook was reaching out to catch Mia before she fell to the ground too hard. He placed her down softly and I finally reached Mia. The only person I didn't notice was Mr. Gold who looked angrily at Mia.

I fell to my knees and cried, "Mia." Tears were spilling down my face and I felt like the world was against me. I'd already lost my parents, I didn't want to loose Mia either.

Mia was on the ground with a huge gash in her side. Her face was a ghostly white and she struggled to breath. "Mia, why did you do that?" Henry asked as he sat on the other side of Mia. His eyes were already red and tears stained his face. He was holding on to Mia's hand and it looked like his emotions was eating him alive.

Mia tried to say something, but she couldn't. I watched as she lifted up her finger and pointed at something. I turned and saw that she was pointing at Mr. Gold. "Gold...what did he do?" I asked in between sobs.

"Don't...trust...him," Mia whispered as she took her last breath. That's when my whole world fell down. I had never felt as alone as I did in this moment. I had no family left. I was completely and utterly alone.

I gripped on to Mia's cold hand and cried, "Mia! Don't leave me! Mia!"

I was too busy crying that I didn't notice Henry break down. "Wake up! Come on, Mia! Don't leave me! I love you!" Henry cried as he held Mia's other hand.

Someone grabbed my arms and Mia's hand was pulled out of mine. "No! I can't leave her!" I cried. "I'm sorry, kid," Robin whispered. I looked up at him and saw that he also had tears in his eyes. "She's my sister, I can't leave her," I sobbed.

I was broken. After my parents died, Mia was the only person I had left. She was not only my sister, she was my best friend. She was the one thing I loved most in the world and now she's dead. Everyone else had their family. I had no one.

I saw Regina pull Henry away from Mia and over to me. Henry looked over at me and I ran over to him and hugged him. He was the only person who knew almost exactly what I was going through. Henry let out a heartbroken sob and hugged me.

"Stupid girl," Mr. Gold muttered before he yanked the sword away from Emma's grip. "You! You did this! This is all your fault!" I cried as I ran over to Mr. Gold and pounded my fists against his stomach. Mr. Gold rolled his eyes and said, "This is your sister's fault. She was stupid and ruined my plans. But I won't let her get away with this."

He then pushed me away so hard that I fell to the ground. Henry rushed over to me and everyone tensed up. "Gold, what are you doing?" Emma asked. "What should have been done in the first place," Mr. Gold answered. Regina held up a fireball and tossed it at Mr. Gold who easily dodged it. "You got to do better if you want to stop me, dearie," Mr. Gold said.

"I'm still a Dark One. I can stop you," Hook spat. Mr. Gold turned around and let out a chuckle. "You can't stop me. At least not now anyways," Mr. Gold said before plunging the sword into Hook's side.

"No!" Emma yelled. Emma tried to run over to Hook, but Snow and Charming held her back. Emma glared at them and then broke free of their grip. She ran over to Hook who was on the ground gasping for air.

Henry and I ran over to Hook while Gold stood there smiling. He dropped his cane and stood up straight. "Well, this was nice, but I really must go," Mr. Gold smirked before disappearing in a puff of smoke. "Gold and the boat are gone," Robin muttered.

"I'm gonna kill him," Henry said with so much hatred. Suddenly, Emma let out a scream. We all turned to see that Hook had gone still and Emma was trying to get him up. Snow and Charming watched their heartbroken daughter and then pulled her away, despite Emma's protests.

An ambulance arrived and put Hook's body on a stretcher. I turned and saw two men reaching out to grab Mia. Tears were still streaming down my face and I still didn't want to accept the fact that my sister was gone.

"Don't touch her!" I yelled as I pushed the men away. They both looked at me sadly, but I turned away. I got on the ground and grabbed on to Mia's arm. "Come on. Wake up, Mia. Show them that you're just sleeping," I pleaded. Henry pulled me away from Mia's body and the men put her on a stretcher. "No!" I screamed.

"Matt, she's gone," Henry whispered. "I don't want her to be gone. There has to be a way to get her back," I cried. "Sorry, kid," Charming told me as everyone walked over to us. "She was the only family I had," I whispered as I wiped away my tears. The group all looked at me sadly before giving me a big group hug. I met Henry's gaze and he whispered, "All of these people love you, Matt. You're part of our family."

Mia was a part of my family...

Anyways, THIS IS NOT THE END. There are still going to be a lot more chapters, so this is not the last time you will see Mia or Matt or Henry or anyone else for that matter.

So this is the first time I've done something from Matt's POV and I thought this was the perfect time to do it so that you all truly understood what Matt was going through. I honestly started tearing up writing this chapter. It's just soooo sad.
