Chapter 30

Mia's POV

I smiled as I watched Henry playing with baby Neal. Neal giggled as Henry played peek-a-boo with him. Matt sat next to Henry smiling and he looked between Neal and Henry.

My smile faded when I saw Snow and Charming in the back of the room. Snow held a envelope and they both looked worried. "We have to stop her," Charming said. Stop who? Emma?

Suddenly the doors burst open and Nimue walked in. I quickly got up and made my way over to Matt who hid behind my leg. "You don't have to worry. Captain Hook's already seen to that. Which means there's no way to stop your trip to the Underworld," Nimue told us.

Before any of us could say anything, she flicked her hand up. The mark on my arm started to burn and I fell to the ground in pain. I closed my eyes and inhaled sharply. It felt like my whole body was on fire and I could barely move.

I tried to open my eyes and when I did, I saw everyone else also on the ground and gripping onto their arms. I looked up and saw baby Neal watching his parents and when he saw them in pain he started to cry.

A bright light blocked my vision and when I opened my eyes, I was in the woods by the lake. I saw Regina, Robin, and Gold who all looked at us with wide eyes. "Henry? Are you all right?" Regina asked as she moved to check on Henry.

I looked over at Matt who looked on the verge of crying. "Hey, it's going to be okay," I told him. "Don't say that. You and I both know it's not going to be okay," Matt said before looking at the ground.

I frowned and walked over to him. I wrapped my arms around him and held him close. "I won't let anything bad happen to you," I whispered. Matt looked up at me with tears streaming down his face. "Mia, I'm scared," Matt said.

I froze and then tightened my grip on him. He was only five and had already lost his parents. Now he had to go to the Underworld? He shouldn't have to go through this...

"Me too, kid," I muttered under my breath. Before I could say anything to help calm him down, Hook walked over to us. "Look. The S.S. Purgatory," Hook told us with an evil grin as he pointed towards the lake.

I looked at the lake and saw an eerie fog rolling in. A shadow appeared and when it came into view, I saw a boat. Matt's eyes widened and he grabbed my hand.

"Mom, Dad! Henry!" A voice exclaimed. The group turned and saw Emma running towards us in tears. She hugged Snow, Charming, and Henry. I could've sworn I saw Hook's expression change into a sad one, but it was quickly gone.

"I'm sorry! I tried!" Emma told Snow. Snow smiled sadly at her daughter and wiped away her tears. "We know," Snow whispered.

I saw Regina look at the group sadly before walking over to Hook. "It's time to drop the act. You can't just sit back and watch another family be destroyed to get your revenge," Regina told him.

"What makes you think I can't?" Hook asked angrily. "Because of what we swore never to speak of again. I know the real reason you don't want to talk about what you did to your father," Regina said.

Hook's jaw clenched and I looked between the two of them confused. What could make Hook that angry? "I believe we've already had this conversation," Hook hissed.

"But this time you're going to listen because if you don't...you're gonna regret it for the rest of your life, which, in your case, means forever. So, you have to ask yourself the same question you did that night. What kind of man do you want to be?" Regina asked before walking away.

Hook stood there shocked for a minute and I turned away from him. Matt was watching the boat come closer and I sighed. I turned him around so that he would face me and said, "I know you're scared right now, but know that you're not going through this alone. You have me and all of these people who have come to care about us and they are all going to be there to protect you. I'll be there to protect you."

Matt wiped away his tears and then hugged me. "I love you, Mia," Matt whispered. I smiled and hugged him back. "I love you too, Matt," I said.

"It's time," Nimue said. My eyes widened and Emma came to stand in front of all of us. Henry made his way over to me and grabbed my hand. "No, you're not taking the people I love," Emma told Nimue.

Emma took a step forward and raised her hands, ready to fight. Nimue rolled her eyes and swung her hand up. Emma's eyes widened and her face turned red as Nimue started to magically choke Emma.

"I might not be able to kill you, but I can stop you from interfering," Nimue said with an evil grin. Emma looked at Hook and his eyes widened. "That's enough!" Hook yelled.

He stepped in front of Nimue who asked, "What do you think you're doing?" "Being the man I want to be," Hook said causing Regina to smile. "You can't stop us," Nimue said. "Yes, I can," Hook told her.

Hook then raised up Excalibur, and slowly, all the Dark One's were absorbed into the sword. Emma took deep breaths as the magical hold Nimue had on her was broken. All the darkness entered the sword and the sword started to glow.

"Killian, you can't do this," Emma told him. "We both know there's no other way, love. We have to hurry. The darkness won't stay trapped in Excalibur much longer. Take it," Hook said as he held out Excalibur.

"No!" Emma exclaimed. I shook my head. He can't do this. It was a trick. Gold was tricking them. "Emma," I said. She ignored me. "You have to help me, Swan. Take it," Hook said.

"Emma!" I hissed. Emma glared at me and then turned back to face Hook. "I can't. It should be me," Emma whispered. "It should be no one!" I exclaimed. "Mia! Stop! This is already hard and you are making this harder!" Emma yelled.

"I'm trying to help-" I started to say, but Regina cut me off. "Mia, stop," Regina hissed.

"Your family needs you. If anyone deserves to go to the Underworld, it's me. You were right. I was weak. So let me make up for it now by being strong," Hook told Emma. "I don't want to loose you," Emma cried.

"And I don't want to loose you. But you have to let me go. Let me die a hero! That's the man I want you to remember, please!" Hook said. Emma slowly grabbed the sword, ignoring my protests. She then kissed Hook and whispered, "I love you." "I love you too," Hook whispered back.

"Emma! Don't do it!" I yelled. "It's okay, Mia," Hook told me. Emma took a step back and started to thrust the sword forward. It all felt like it happened in slow motion.

It started with me running forward screaming, "No!" Then as the sword grew close to Hook, I pushed him out of the way. "Mia!" Henry exclaimed.

Hook then fell to the ground and the sword plunged into my side.

So I know you guys probably hate me for 1- not updating in a while, and 2- for you know...the sword...Mia...

Okay I'm going to shut up now!

I hope you all are having a wonderful day! I'm going to try and update soon. Maybe even another update tonight because I feel bad about ending the chapter like this! No promises, but it's a possibility.
