~The next day~
Asuma...is dead.
Killed by the hands of the Akatsuki themselves. The whole village is in grief, everyone's wearing black, and Shikamaru is nowhere to be seen. Konohamaru was crying deeply as Naruto and I rubbed his back.
The Akatsuki are terrible people.
They kill people for no reason at all!
They hunt Jinchūriki's for their own selfish reasons!
I exhaled deeply and lowered my gaze to the ground as Konohamaru's tears flowed heavily down his face and pattered to the soft, green grass. It seemed like the sky was mourning Asuma's death as well seeing as rain was pouring heavily from the sky and soaking everyone within seconds.
I didn't know Asuma that well...we only really spoke when necessary, but there were times when we had a good laugh together. Like the time I chased him around the village with a water gun and yelled for him to stop smoking those 'cancer sticks'. Or the time I yelled at him for smoking in my house and making the smoke detectors go off. We didn't have many memories but the ones we do have I will cherish for the rest of my life. I once told Asuma that those cigarettes were going to be the death of him; looks like he proved me wrong.
I grinned sadly and ruffled Konohamaru's hair as I walked off away from the funeral. After a few seconds, others started to follow my example and Naruto walked alongside me; both of us in complete silence.
"You should be more careful" I said as Naruto looked over at me.
"I'm not the only Jinchūriki in Konoha" he replied sadly "you be careful too."
"They don't know I'm a Jinchūriki though" I said.
"You never know" he said bitterly "those basterds seem to know everything before we know it ourselves. Their capable of anything."
Naruto clenched his hands tightly into fist and I glanced at him, frowning slightly. I guess he's right...we don't know what their capable of; they could already know I'm a Jinchūriki by now. I angrily gritted my teeth when I suddenly felt a person walking next to me. Naruto and I both turned in surprise and I was shocked to see a member of the ANBU Black Ops. I couldn't see his face because of his mask, but I had a feeling he was staring at me from the way his face was tilted.
"C-Can I help you" I asked, nervously.
Everyone knows that when you get approched by a member of the ANBU; it's not a good thing.
"Lady Hokage has asked me to moniter you on a daily basis" he said simply.
"Why" I asked, confused.
"That is confidential information that you are not allowed to know."
"Does this have to do with the Akatsuki" Naruto asked curiously.
"That is confidential information that you are not allowed to know."
"What do you mean confidential" I said, my temper rising.
He didn't reply and this time it was Naruto's turn to get angry.
"Can't you just answer that simple yes or not question?!" He yelled angrily.
"Do I sense anger, Uzamaki Naruto?"
"I don't know do you?!"
"If you continue to act hostile I will have no choice but to restrain you."
"Stop arguing with him" I said before Naruto could open his mouth "if you don't he'll beat you up..."
"Restrain."
