She fisted his tie and yanked him toward her, slamming him against the wall.
The impact echoed softly, their breaths instantly tangling in the narrow space between them.
Her jaw tightened, eyes locked on his.
"You shouldn't be this close," he murmured, voice low... warning, not begging.
Velora only stepped in further, crowding him, pinning him so he had nowhere to go.
Her lips hovered dangerously close to his-barely a breath apart.
"Ohh... I'm shaking in my boots," she whispered into his ear, dangerously close, sarcasm dripping from her voice.
His jaw clenched, hard, at the sight of her this close-too close.
With a swift, frustrated movement, he grabbed her by the waist and spun them, pressing her back against the wall now.
His grip was firm, breath uneven.
"You shouldn't have come closer," he said, voice rough.
His eyes burned into hers.
"Because once you do..."
His grip tightened slightly.
"...you won't be able to leave."
She looked straight into his storm-grey eyes, unshaken, pulling him just a fraction closer by his collar.
"I don't intend to," she whispered steady and bold.
