So first of all let me just say that I think this story is unbelievably lousy and just ughhhhhh!!! I'm feeling nauseous trying to continue! What made you like it?
Chapter Fifty Four
According to the calculations of the Queen-Mather, the city's gates, could last for two months. Of course, it would be the case if they didn't run out of food and supplies by then.
If they found Jeremy, they could be let him deal with Samuel trying to dominate the palace ... And if Miriam and the army she was bringing from Italy could control the amount of French soldiers from outside.
So it was really the best option to cooperate with the rebels, which could only be the result of the negotiations between Lillian, Louis and Harry, the head of that group.
Lilian knew that sitting on the horse and swooping isn't very suitable for her weakened body and her child would not be helping situation at all, though it could slow them down ... there was no way to go but with a carriage.
When she was ready for the trip with Sophia and Ellie on a carriage Ashton returned with good news. He had found Jeremy!
Apparently, Jeremy and his men were aware of Samuel's treachery and were now busy preparing volunteer groups from people to help the situation.
Hearing that, Lilian felt that the burden on her shoulders was now even heavier and, therefore, she was willing to let Sofia, who knew how to handle the carriage... ride with the speed she desired.
Ashton also urged them to insist because they need a boy to do heavy work so he shared Ellie's horse. If they wanted to move faster, they could not all use the carriage.
According to what was seen on the map, Ellie believed that if they only had to rest once a day and 4 hours at night, they would be able to get to Holmes Chapel in almost a week, which Sophia knew Harry band had to be there.
Sophia was swearing to give Liam a lesson when they get there, and this was 90% of all that was heard from her, which made it a great motive for her to speed the carriage up.

4 days after they left the city, and yet they were behind what Ellie had scheduled, because the French troops were almost everywhere and they needed to avoid them.
Lillian could not believe that the deep penetration they had over their cities, and how her careless father and his horrible associates left the lives of all the people of his country at such a risk.
Ashton, who occasionally headed for towns to get what they needed, came with news reports of the cruel force French put onto people, making Lillian feel sick, but only the thing that kept her heart intact all the time was the small warm presence she knew was growing up within her.

Louis walked among their people once more. Everything seemed to be ready. Harry and Liam were standing by and watching, while Niall could barely put his thoughts together despite looking normal.
When everything seemed to be on point, Gemma walked to Louis and handed him a sword she herself sharpened to wish him success, and then kissed his cheek. After all, it was the duty of a spouse to encourage her husband before the fight.
Niall looked away from the kiss. He was sure Ellie would never forgive him for letting that happen but ... when he was supposed to come here and tell Louis everything, the French army had not reached London's gates!
If at that time he would say something to Louis and stopped that ceremony, there would no Ellie and Lilly would be left in London, to talk to later on. The French army did not care if Lilian had a particular conditions. At best, they would capture and take her away.
