Ed Edd n Eddy [Edd x Reader]

Like a date!

((I drew the picture! Sorry it is sloppily colored and drawn. I am hurrying to publish this story ! I couldn't find a picture that fit the scene so I made my own picture! )

When we were in the kitchen, I plopped the cookies in the oven and set the timer. Double D did nothing but apologize. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to take it so far.. I don't know what came over me.." He slumped over sadly. I touched the bottom of his chin and lifted his head up.

"It's okay. What happened, happened. And there is no changing the past so you might as well accept it." I smiled. "Plus it was fun seeing that side of you. Usually you are shy and very gentle. So it was interesting seeing you in such a lustful state."

"It was fun..?" He blushed.

I paused realizing what I said. "W-Well.. Yeah.. It was interesting.." The oven started beeping. "Cookies are done!" I said immediately changing the subject. I felt flustered. "Would you like to try one?"

"I'd love to." He smiled at me as he took a bite into one. "They are just as sweet as you are." He smile before realizing what he said. He was fairly flustered as well, due to him being fairly flirtatious.

I smiled. "Thank you. Well they are finished. Let's see how they are doing on the stand." He smiled and nodded his head.

When we walked outside, the stand was a mess. It had no color, the boards were broken and barely standing. There were more nails in there then clouds in the sky. "G-Guys... What happened?"

"We built you a stand!" Ed said with much excitement.

I walked over to the stand, and rested my hand on the stand. And when I did, the whole thing collapsed. "This wouldn't have held the cookies. It wasn't sturdy and it isn't a pretty attraction. So, here is what we are going to Do." We all huddled closely and I explained that Ed and eddy are going to get better and more sturdy ply wood while Edd and I draw up a plan and got the supplies we need. I looked at Double D and said, "Let's go." He smiled and nodded.

He followed me to my house to get the things we need to draw up ideas for our cookie stand. As we were leaving my house, we stopped in the living room, I asked Double D if he wanted to go to the woods to have a nice and quiet place to conjure up ideas for our stand. He seemed a reluctant to go at first but with a little convincing he eventually came round with the idea.

"I'll do it if we can have a picnic." He said with very little confidence. 

"Are you trying to ask me out on a date?" I said while being sly-like. He blushed heavily and looked away, rather embarrassed. His body was tense, and uneasy about everything he said. If I said no, I'd look like he'd actually cry. It was kinda cute. He had such a nervous expression, he was so nervous and uncomfortable with asking me, he was shaking. His knees, his hands they were all just shaking. It wasn't too bad, it looked as if he were giving a presentation in class but he was unsure about everything he was going to/have said. I pushed him on the couch. "Calm down, dum dum." I grabbed his hand. "Ask me a little more directly."

His eyes were locked in mine, lost in each others gaze. "(Y/N), Will you go on a date with me?"

I smiled. "Id love to. Was that so hard?" I said calmly.

"N-No.." He started blushing. He was still fixated on my eyes as he leaned in to kiss me but it was interrupted a loud crash in my front yard. I got up and quickly ran to looked out the window to see Ed throwing ply wood down.

I went outside and petted Eds head. "Good job, Ed!" He looked really happy when I did. "Alright, I'm thinking we make the stand light pink, almost white. And the lettering would be a lighter hot pink or a black. How does that sound?"

"Sounds good." Eddy said.

"Okay. Double D and I will be conjuring up a blueprint for the setting of the stand." I said as we walked away from them.

As we were walking, we started to enter the forest. The grimace forest blocked out all sunlight, darkness loomed in every crevice, yet with Double D by my side, it felt so lit up. Our shadows were nothing but black masses that blended in perfectly with the background. We furthered on in the woods, setting our stuff down in the middle of it all. Double D laid out the blanket and I set up our picnic stuff. We started discussing our ideas for the stand. His were brilliant. He has such an immense will for everything he does. It burns within his eyes and soul. Every word he spoke burned with fiery passion. He was drawing up blue prints while talking. About ten minutes pass, and we were done. He smiled at me. "You're the first one to actually give me constructive criticisms rather then just telling me to do it. Thank you." He was so genuine. This eyes were emerald portals, sucking me into them.

I started to turn pink. "Y-You're welcome." I smiled back at him. Suddenly, I heard whispers coming from the bush. I leaned toward Double Ds ear to whisper, "I don't think we are alone." I giggled. "Let's give them a show. Test our acting." I giggled. And he nodded. "So what did you want to tell me, Double D?" I started us off.

*Double Ds POV*

"I.. Uhm.. I wanted to tell you that I think you're very pretty." She wants me to become a stronger romantic character. "Every moment I spend with you is a treasure I hold close to my heart. Every word you speak, it's a beautiful blend of music casted on to me,i am your audience." I was very red. I kept stuttering and looking away. This is a character, why am I fumbling up and becoming frazzled. This is fake. Right? "My heart will never grow weary of you. Every time I'm with you my heart beats so fast and I don't know how to slow it down. You're the protein compound to my amino acid. You complete me. Every time you are away from me, I grow eager to see you again. You will always be on my mind. I.." I paused. Love you? Do I? I.. I don't know, but I'm sticking with it. "Love you!" I wanted to kiss her.

Eddy and Ed came out of the bush. Angry. "D-Double D.." Eddy said with anger.

"DOORK!!" Kevin came running from behind a tree, at me.

I stood up. "Good acting, Double D!" She smiled.

"Acting?" The three said, very flustered.

"Yeah, I know you guys were listening, so I put him up to it. Maybe next time you should leave us alone. And why are you here, Kevin?" He grew even more flustered and didnt know what to say. He, suddenly, ran away from us, disappearing into the woods. "Idiot.." She looked stressed from his Idiocy. "Anyway, let's go." Eddy and Ed both started walking beside her. She turned around and looked at me. "Get next to us, dork." She said smiling, still pink from earlier. I picked up my speed until I was next to them.

"That was kick ass acting, Sockhead!" Eddy said, as I smiled.

"Haha.. Yeah, acting." I don't think I was acting. I'm so confused. Those words felt like they meant something. And it hurt to know that she thought I was acting. If I was really confessing my love to her, I'd be stumbling over my words more frequently, right?
