It was painful hearing Brendon crying out for help. It sounded like he was getting slaughtered. Pete had told me to calm down because these things happened all the time, but how could I let such a thing happen to him?
These meds they were giving him, were teaching him to be obedient and listen to the rules. If Brendon broke the rules, he would get injected. I had to find a way to convince him to play good so that he won't be tortured.
"Did you even hear what I was saying Mia?" Rosalina asked.
"Huh?" I said drifting back to reality.

"I said, there is going to be a new intern today and you have to welcome him in." She repeated.

"Ok." I replied. I would do anything for her to stop barking orders at me.

"Here, take this key and when he comes in, take him to the locker room and his coat should be ready for him there." She handed me a key.

"Ok." I said.

"Mia baby what's wrong?" She asked, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"Oh it's nothing. Just got a lot on my mind. Where's Andy?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Oh he had to go inject Mr Urie because Dr Muts wasn't able to make it today. Mr Urie gave him a pretty mean bite mark yesterday." She laughed.

Oh god. It must have been so hard for Andy to do that. He explained to me how much he hated doing that to patients. Part of me felt like Andy did not inject Brendon at all. But the other part felt like Andy didn't want to risk losing his job just because of a new patient.

A tall boy walked into the room, wearing his casual clothes. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair and looked at Rosalina and I.
"Are you Johnny? the new intern?" Rosalina asked.

"Yeah, I am." He answered with a smug look on his face.

"Ok well Mia will lead you to your locker and give you directions on what to do next." Rosalina said, motioning me to get up.
I stood up and made my way to Johnny, his hungry eyes scanning me from top to bottom.
As I walked through the hallway, I felt his eyes scan me from the back.
"Damn, I would like to have some of that meat." He said.
I ignored him, trying to open the locker room door.
"Here, this is your coat. Your first duty is to attend the cooking class in room 57." I instructed.

"What's the rush, baby?" He said, Moving so close to me, causing me to crash onto the wall behind.
He breathed on my neck and brushed a strand of hair away from my forehead.
"Johnny. Leave me alone." I demanded.
He pretended not to listen to me, his hands roaming on my body.
"Johnny please stop." I asked again.
Nothing.
I guess being polite to this bastard wasn't going to help.
I gave him a nudge, causing him to break contact with my body.
"You do know how easy it is to lose your job around here?" I said.
He laughed.
"Don't try to intimidate me with your threats. My father owns this whole institution." He said.

Oh god. He was the Johnny. The Johnny that everyone loved. Everyone was so far up his ass, they had no idea what a vile person he was. Being nice to this guy meant, promotions, pay rises, days off.
"I could kick you out this instant. But I guess I'll keep you here because you're pretty fucking sexy I must say." He said, clicking his tongue.
"Your first duty is to-"
"I know what my first duty is." He cut me off.
"Ok then, get to it." I said and walked off.

Today was Tuesday, which meant I had to give out meds with Andy again.
I looked forward to hanging out with Andy, he was really nice and he taught a lot of tips and tricks on how to deal with the patients.
I pushed my trolley out and went to join Andy.
He instantly sensed the anger inside of me.
"Mia what's wrong?" Andy asked.

"It's nothing really. Let's just go." I replied, hoping he would drop it.
He grabbed my wrist and looked me in the eye.
"Mia who hurt you?" He asked again.

"No one. I'm fine. Really." I said, avoiding eye contact with him.

"Mia we are not going anywhere until you tell me what's wrong." He said.
He truly looked like he wasn't going to give up anytime soon. His blue eyes glistened as he tried to figure of what was wrong. He no longer had that smile on his face, instead, his face looked serious and daring. A strand of hair fell on his forehead.

"I really don't want you to tell anyone. Please Andy." I said.
"I won't tell anyone, I promise. Just tell me." He begged.
I sighed. Don't tell him don't tell him don't tell him.
"It's Johnny." I said.
"That son of a bitch." He muttered under his breath.
"Mia did he hurt you? Did he do anything?" He asked, worry filling his bright blue eyes.
"No. It's ok. I pushed him off and he left me alone." I said.

"You are making it really hard for me not to go and punch his face in." He said.

"No please Andy. Don't. He will ruin you. You will lose your job. Just please. Let it go." I pleaded.

"Ok." He finally said.
