Without the artificial flavor and syrups,you can make your own pumpkin spice latte at home,guilt free!
That's right! My recipe contains real pumpkin!
Ingredients you'll need:
- 1 cup of milk
- three tablespoons of pumpkin purée (recipe down below)
-1 tsp of pumpkin spice (recipe down below)
- 2 tsp of sugar
- 1 shot of espresso
- Pinch of cinnamon for garnish (optional)
Pumpkin purée recipe:
- 1 sugar pumpkin
- 1-2 tablespoons of water
Pumpkin spice recipe:
- 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp of ground cloves
- pinch of salt
Pumpkin purée directions:
1. Cut off the skin of the pumpkin,remove the seeds and cut the meat into cubes.
2. Bake at 180c for 20-30 mins.
3. Take it out of the oven and put it into a blender or food processor to purée if your pumpkin is too hard,add a tablespoon to two of water to help it blend.
Pumpkin spice directions:
1. Pour all the ingredients into a bowl.
2. Mix to combine.
Pumpkin spice latte directions:
1. Pour the milk,pumpkin purée,pumpkin spice and sugar into a sauce pan.
2. Whisk it together and bring it below boiling point.
3. Prepare your espresso shot while the milk is heating.
4. Pour the milk over a sieve.
5. Beat it to form foam.
6. Pour the espresso into a cup and slowly pour in the milk.
7. Lastly pour in the foam and add in a pinch of cinnamon for garnish.
Enjoy your healthy homemade pumpkin spice latte!
