A Minecraft Story

Chapter 62

The seven of them walked down into the bunker, Ruby in the lead.

It was a large stone room. Steve saw people everywhere. There were at least sixty of them, which meant not too many people died from Mojang's attack.

When they entered what Ruby called the common area, everyone noticed them.

There were a few seconds of silence.

Then everyone started cheering and running over to them.

Steve was pelted with questions, which he couldn't answer because of the huge swarm of people.

Steve saw Sadie and Jessie break through the crowd and jump on Jay. They knocked him down and started licking him.

Louis somehow broke through the crowd too. He hugged Steve around the legs.

"I knew you'd come back!" Louis exclaimed happily.

Steve patted the six year old Villager on the back. "Well I couldn't stay away from my favorite person," he said to Louis.

Ruby smacked him on the head playfully.

Then Alex stepped in front of Steve, and Ruby's smile vanished.

Wow, nothing's changed between these two, huh? Steve thought.

"Steve!" Alex exclaimed. They hugged.

"Hey, Alex," Steve said.

Alex was about to say something, then a voice boomed through some hidden speakers in the bunker.

"That's enough, everyone," the voice said. It was Lourd. "Let them have their space. After I talk to them, we will have a meeting where they will explain everything."

The crowd dispersed, and Steve, Jay, Kirai, Tommy, Scullscan, Nomis, Ruby, and Alex walked over to a separate room, Ruby leading the way.

They walked inside the room. It looked like some sort of control room, with a wall of screens showing security footage of both the bunker and what used to be Creektown. Lourd and Manga were both in there.

They pulled up some chairs and sat. Lourd stared at them for a long while. Finally, he spoke.

"So you're back, huh?" he said.

"Yep..." Steve replied.

"Care to tell us what happened?" Lourd asked. "Particularly what happened to the five other people that went with you?"

Steve sighed and prepared himself.

Then, he told the whole story, with Jay, Kirai, and Scullscan pitching in every once in awhile.

First, he told about the Mojang Creepers at the power plant. He told about how they found Scullscan there, and how the Creepers destroyed the Shark. Then he moved on to the desert and the encounter with the bounty hunters and Herobrine.

He spoke of Leonardtown, Bill, and the game of Spleef. Then he went to taking the trucks, the fight with the Wither, and how they had lost Lee, Godhand, and Todd there.

After that he told about the cave, Madge's diary, and Scullscan's vision. Then was the splitting up.

Steve told about the Endermen and how they got Cupcake, the Creeper in the mushroom biome, and Pat and Jen.

Jay told about his adventures in the Nether. Steve was amazed that he got an entire army of mobs to fight for him. Then Jay told about the Witch hut, and about how the helper, who was named Nomis, finally agreed to help after she saw the Resistance's promo.

Finally, Steve told about that final battle with Captainsparklez, and how Dee had been so close to making it to safety.

He finally finished the story. Lourd and Manga were silent. They stared at Steve.

"So, yeah, that's what happened. What happened here?" Steve asked.

Ruby and Alex took turns telling the story here. Ruby didn't seem to like the fact that Alex was helping tell the story.

They told about the attack on Creektown, and how Jerry had died. Ruby told about her encounter with Alpha, and how she had barely made it to the bunker.

Then they told about life in the bunker, which was pretty boring. Manga talked about his idea to make a promo. Lourd said that the promo worked, and that there have been uprisings against Mojang all throughout the Sectors.

But Mojang has been fighting back.

Now they were all caught up.

Everyone was silent.

"So, Nomis," Lourd finally said. "You can reverse monster control?"

"Yes," Nomis said simply.

"How do you do it? Is it a potion?" Lourd asked.

"No," Nomis replied.

"Then how?" Lourd pried.

"I use my mind," Nomis explained.

Lourd looked doubtful. "Your mind," he repeated.

"Yes."

Lourd and Manga looked at each other. Then Lourd looked at Steve.

Steve put his hands up and pointed at Jay, indicating it was Jay's idea.

"Just trust her," Kirai spoke up.

"Alright," Lourd said. "But if you're a fake, you'll be sorry," he directed this to Nomis.

Nomis stared back at him with a straight face.

"Okay," Steve cut in. "So what are we gonna do about Mojang?"

Lourd and Manga looked at each other again.

"We've been discussing possible attack strategies on them," Lourd answered.

"Like what?" Jay asked.

"Well, we've been mining and gathering materials for the Resistance to attack Mojang Headquarters," Lourd replied.

"You're gonna put all these people in the heart of Mojang's defense?" Steve asked.

"Well, we are the Resistance, aren't we?" Lourd asked. "These people are here to resist Mojang. Which means we fight them."

"What about the kids?" Steve asked. "We can't bring Louis and Emily and the other children."

"We won't. We'll keep a few people here to watch the kids," Manga chimed in.

Steve noticed Ruby trying to get his attention. She was gesturing frantically to Alex, who seemed to be listening intently.

Steve was confused. He had no idea what Ruby meant, so he just kept talking.

"Do we have enough materials for everyone to have armor and weapons?" Steve asked.

"Almost. We've been mining every day since the attack. We just need a few more stacks of iron, then we're good," Lourd responded.

"Okay. The eight of us can mine tomorrow," Steve said, gesturing to himself, Jay, Kirai, Tommy, Scullscan, Nomis, Ruby, and Alex.

"Alright," Lourd replied. "Let's go have a meeting to explain everything to the rest of them."

The ten of them walked out of the room, ready to tell the tale of their adventure.

If I knew how to animate, I would totally make this book into a movie. Too bad I don't.
